The cherry trees in this town were one third in bloom, as of yesterday.

It seemed that they started blooming on the day of March 22nd. They have bloomed so much in three days.

Yesterday, I was informed that my old soul mate passed away just one day before sakura blooming.

 

Thank you my friend, for reading nothing special articles in this account and supporting myself, till even three days before you left this world.

I offer you whole cherry blossoms in this park, where we drank together thirty-nine years ago.

その開花宣言のほんの一日前、古き心の友を亡くしていたことを昨日知りました。

 

ありがとう。この世を発つ三日前まで、このアカウントのくだらない記事を読み、応援していてくれたんだね。

三十九年前、一緒に飲んだこの公園の桜の花すべてを捧げます。

それでは、たとえ逢えなくても生きて生きて生きて、素敵な一日を！

Advantage

Since spring came to this town, we have had various good news from our repeater guests.

We share our happy life here with our guests and our guests share happy life events with us.

What we pursue here is not the buzzword “Sharing Economy” but “Sharing Joy” from the bottom of our heart.

Though we were stranger each other, before our guests visited here,

now some of them call me “uncle in Kyushu island”. I personally feel advantage as a host.

冥利

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。

春になって、親しくなったゲストさんたちから続々とうれしい知らせが届いています。

海峡の町の楽しい暮らしをシェアしたら、ゲストさん達からはうれしい出来事をシェアいただいたというお話。

ここで目指すのは、はやり言葉の「シェアリング・エコノミー」ではなくて、 心からの「シェアリング・ジョイ」。

今では九州の叔父さんとまで呼んでいただいて、ほんと宿主冥利に尽きます。

とっても複雑な気分 / Mixed feelings

Mixed feelings

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

As I mentioned about education and schools, let me share my mixed feelings a little. I have the feelings sometimes in summer and this time of a year.

Because I see high school baseball championship on TV. Young baseball players of a certain high school are playing actively in Koshien stadium.

More than 40 years ago, I passed the entrance exam of the school, but I didn’t enter the school, as it was my second choice and I passed my first choice school.

However my alma mater, which was my first choice, was no longer exists.

At that time, I believed that my alma mater was more traditional and valuable, But there is no meaning in its tradition, once it is gone.

Is it only myself who think such thing, watching high school baseball championship?

Now after comparing those two schools, I do recognized that the most important thing is “strong desire” to keep it alive. And my alma mater, graduates, teachers and participants might have lack of it.

Not only above example but also comparison of other public schools and private schools in this small town, make me feel lack of strong desire in the schools which are no longer exit.

The trend word “SDGS”, we often hear these days, also need the desire at most, I strongly feel now.

とっても複雑な気分

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

教育と学校の話題が出たついでに、、、

この時期と、夏になると時折妙な気分になる話を少しだけ。

高校受験に際し、滑り止めとして合格しながら、結局志望校に受かったため行くことのなかった学校が甲子園で活躍している姿を見るからです。

片や、当時の志望校でもあった母校はもうありません。

当時は母校の方が伝統ある学校だと信じて疑いませんでしたが、学校自体がなくなってしまっては伝統なんて意味なしです。

高校野球を見ながら、こんなことを思うのは自分だけでしょうか？

今、その二校を比べて感じるのは、一番大事なのはやはり存続しようとする「意欲」で、母校はそこが圧倒的に劣っていたんだろうということです。

他にもこのちいさな町にあった公立高校と私立高校全てをくらべてみても、その思いは強くなるばかりです。

最近なにかと聞く単語「ＳＤＧＳ」。なにより一番大事なのはこの「意欲」なんだと実感する今日このごろです。
