Even though I’m on this side of the strait, when I advise guests around the other side, I always end up introducing the sushi at the fish market, but it has made me feel a little bad.

So I was looking for something else to introduce to our guests.

I found this old fashioned bakery!

Not only are the products old-fashioned, but their business style is also very nostalgic.

It opens at 7am!

There may not seem to be many on display, but as soon as the freshly baked bread is put on display, it is snapped up in droves.

While choosing what to buy, I enjoyed chatting with the shop’s old lady…

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

海峡のこちら側にいて、向こう側のことをゲストさんにご案内する場合、どうしても市場でいただくお寿司の紹介になってしまうのがちょっと心苦しくなってきたので、他に紹介する何かいいものがないか探していると、、、

ありましたっ！昔ながらのこういうのが、、、

商品だけが昔ながらというわけではなく、その営業スタイルもとても懐かしい形式です。

なんと、朝７時開店っ！

陳列されている数が少ないように見えますが、焼きたてが並ぶや否やどんどん買われていきます。

どれを買おうか選びながら、オバちゃんとのおしゃべりも楽しんで、、、

午後には売り切れてしまうものも多いようなので、紹介の仕方を考えなくてはいけませんが、この雰囲気ゲストさんには是非味わってほしいですね。

According to West Nippon Expressway Co., Ltd., they are preparing to revise the tolls for the Kanmon Tunnel.

What is concerning is that the revised content is said to be a significant price increase, unlike recent versions in the past.

The cheapest transportation fare to cross to Honshu on the opposite shore is the tunnel fee.

So we would like to keep an eye on how the current proposals will be realized in the future.

当宿が今年前半焦点を当てている対岸についてのレポートを始める前に、

まず最初に認識しておかなければならない悪いニュースを共有します。

それは、本州と九州とを結ぶ大動脈についてのこれからの変化。

西日本高速道路によると、同社では関門トンネルの料金改定を準備中らしいです。

気になるのが、その改訂内容がこれまでと違い大幅な値上げになるといわれていること。

対岸の本州に渡るための一番安い交通料金がこのトンネル利用料。

今後、現在の案がどう現実化していくのかウォッチしていきたいと思います。

It’s been a week since the winter solstice, the day with the shortest hours of daylight of the year, 

and I’ve been taking this rare opportunity to check out some things I wanted to confirm.

On the day of the winter solstice, I was reminded once again that sunlight can penetrate so deep into the room even around noon.

And the sunsets at this time of year…

Recently, the sun has been lining up with our lighthouse at sunset, and every evening the whole area is colored gold. Ships approach us through the shining golden sky and sea. We’ve enjoyed this sight every day.

この時期限定だから、、、

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

一年で一番日照時間の短い冬至の日から一週間、

せっかくのこの機会に確認しておきたかったことを色々と見てきました。

冬至の日には、陽の光がお昼でこんなに部屋の奥まで差し込んむことをあらためて確認しました。

そして、この時期の日没の様子も、、、

最近では日没時の太陽がウチの灯台と一列に並び、毎日夕方にはあたり一面がゴールドに色付いて、金色に光り輝く空と海の中を船がこちらに向かってくる、そんな光景が毎日楽しめました。

そして冬本番を迎える憂鬱よりも、日に日に日が長くなっていくよろこびが勝るこの頃です。
