Two of a kind

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

According to the guests from the sister city, this town Kitakyushu looks similar to their town, Tacoma.

When I heard that from them, I remembered that I felt same when I visited Tacoma and walk around the town.

According the guests, their destination in their trip were only Kitakyushu and Osaka.

It means that Tacoma and Kitakyushu are lookalike sisters, doesn’t it?

It is the great honor of us to host such people, isn’t it?

姉妹都市からいらっしゃったゲストさんによれば、

この町、北九州はタコマとよく似ているとのことです。

それを聞いて、４０年ほど前、自分がタコマを訪れて、町を散策した時に同じように感じたことを思い出しました。

そっくり姉妹ということですね。

The guests from the sister city

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

After seven years since we opened this guesthouse in Kitakyushu, we had guests whom we have waited for a long time.

Guests from the sister city of this town.

It is not because of the sister city, the very first town in abroad where the manager of this guesthouse stayed in his life was the sister city.

According the guests, their destination in their trip were only Kitakyushu and Osaka.

In addition they were here not because local government dispatched them here, but they came by their own decision and money.

It is the great honor of us to host such people, isn’t it?

待望のお客さま

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

北九州で開業して７年、ようやく待望のゲストさんがやってきました。

姉妹都市からのお客様です。

姉妹都市だからというわけではありませんが、宿主が人生で最初に滞在した海外の町も偶然この姉妹都市だったりします。

ゲストさんの目的地はなんとこの町と大阪だけとのこと。

それも地方自治体間の施設団とかではなく実費の旅だそうで、、、

そんなゲストさんに滞在先に選んでいただいたことを光栄に思います。
