In the past article, we mentioned about a touching episode that one of our guest who had once stayed at this guesthouse visited again with his partner after he got married.

The moment when we feel that our hosting efforts have paid off was not only that time.

For example:

We recommend our guests a local food which we love and have wanted them to try once,

and the guests sent us massage which told us “The food is wonderful.”

We feel so happy that time.

宿屋冥利に尽きると感じる瞬間！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

先に、以前利用いただいたひとり旅のゲストさんが、結婚してその報告も兼ねて再利用してくれた際の感動を記事にしましたが、、、

ゲストさんをおもてなししていて、宿屋冥利に尽きるなぁと感じるのはそんな時だけではありません。

例えば、、、

かねてより、海外から来たゲストさんがこれを食べたらきっと喜ぶに違いないと感じていたこの地域の食べ物を、

実際に紹介して「超良かったよ」と率直な反応をもらった時などは結構・すごくうれしかったりします。

New taste which was released more than 50 years ago!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

We had guests from neighbor country who are university students.

They came to this reception and said “small present for you” and gave this.

It was sweet which had been familiar one in my childhood!

Actually we have often seen them in the refrigerator in this guesthouse since the pandemic was over.

Though we had never seen them before pandemic but we had seen bunch of MOCHI-Rolls in it.

But now, we often seen various type of pudding in it, such as Baked and, Custard one, Milk one and so on.

Puddings seem to be the most popular Japanese deserts among young tourists from neighbor country.

And the most popular one seems to be this “Putchin Pudding”.

So I prepared a dish to “putchin*” it and  taste it for the first time in a while.

I thought it would be old-fashioned and sweet, but it was actually quite delicious.

Same time, the feelings I had when I was a child came to my mind.

50年以上も前の あ た ら し い！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

お隣の国から来た大学生のゲストさん。

「これプレゼント」と言って、受付にやってきた。

それは自分も子供の頃から見慣れたあのデザート！

コロナ明けから、よくこの宿の冷蔵庫でも見かけるようになっています。

コロナ前は「もちロール」が何本も冷蔵庫に詰め込まれていたのを見かけたけれど、

それが今や「プリン」！焼きやら、カスタードやら、牛乳やら各種プリンが並らぶ姿を頻繁に見かけます。

なんか今、流行っているみたいです、日本に来てプリン食べ比べ！

なかでも人気なのが、どうもこの「プッチン」らしいです。

というわけで、久しぶりに皿を準備してプッチンしてみました。

古くさい甘さかと思いきや、これが結構美味しかったりしました。

子供だったころの気持ちも心にこみ上げてきたりして、、、

Preparation for investigation?

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

As it is super cold outside today, let me introduce one interesting finding.

This picture was taking this week at our favorite supermarket.

What we found was the inside of the plastic bag police men had.

Through the plastic bag, we could see what’s inside that we can’t help but be curious about.

I guess that they were preparing for investigation at the police department.

（In Japanese TV drama, pork cutlet bowl rice is often used in the scene of investigation.)

It is not sure whether they can make the suspect talk about the case only with supermarket’s value price deli food.

Don’t you want to try their investigation food of Moji police in Kitakyushu. It is really tasty and reasonable.

スーパーマーケットの激安お惣菜で容疑者を落とせるかは？？？ですが、、、

北九州は門司の激安取り調べメシ(?)、一度試してみませんか？旨いですよ。（笑）
