I think there are many people who have a hard time imagining the industrial town of Kitakyushu and its famous agricultural products.

The local specialty vegetable that has been exposed to the sea breeze from Hibikinada and grown into large balls.

It looks like the harvest has finally begun.

I hope this will help to reduce the price of leafy vegetables in the markets.

工業の町北九州、名産農産物といってもなかなか想像できない人も少なくないと思いますが、、、

これまで響灘の潮風を浴びて大きく結球してきた地元名産野菜、

これで少しでも葉物野菜の価格が抑えられるといいですね。

New recommendations for our guests

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

The mountains in the Kanmon area don’t turn to autumn colors yet, but…

It seems like my stomach is a little too full of autumn colors already.

In such autumn with appetite, we discovered a new local B-class (reasonable but fine) gourmet dish that we would like to recommend to our guests.

It is NIKU-UDON （Meat Udon)!

Although it is a little far away, the restaurant is within walking distance from our guesthouse.

The first thing that surprises us when we order is the presence of meat!

Then, when we take a first bite, we will be captivated by the uniqueness and flavor of the soup. (Perhaps they are using soup made with boiled meat?)

Anyway, this restaurant has become my favorite recently.

If you combine the menu items, you can get a set like this for the same price as the NIKU-UDON, which is also recommended!

Speaking of meat udon, I thought it was a specialty of Kokuraminami Ward, which borders our town to the south, where they even publish a pamphlet called Udon Map, but this town of Moji also has NIKU-UDON that we can confidently recommend.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。おはようございます。

なかなか秋色に色づかない関門エリアの山々ですが、、、

自分の胃袋はずいぶんと秋色にそまってしまっているようです。

そんな食欲の秋、ゲストさんにオススメしたい新たな地元のB級グルメ発見しました。

それは肉うどん！

少し距離はありますが、当宿から徒歩圏内のお店です。

注文してまず驚くのが、肉の存在感！

そして一口食べて、つゆの個性と旨さにやられてしまいます。（肉を煮たスープを使っているのかな？）

とにかく最近のマイブームになっています。

メニューを組み合わせると、肉うどんと同価格でこういうセットもできてこちらもオススメ！

肉うどんといえば、うどんまっぷなるパンフレットまで発行している我が町の南に接する小倉南区の名物かと思っていましたが、この町「門司」にも自信を持って勧められる肉うどんありました。

Does this solve the problem?

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

The biggest concern for Japanese people right now is the rising price of food.

In particular, the shortage of rice, a staple food, and the sharp rise in its price are serious problems.

Some people believe that the rapid increase in the number of foreign tourists and the rice they consume while traveling is a contributing factor to this rice shortage, but what is the reality?

That’s why when I go out by car, I am always looking at rice fields in various places, because I’m curious about the state of them.

In fact, rice seems to be ripening in abundance and being harvested one after another.

So far, there doesn’t seem to be any serious damage from the typhoon, so will there be a good harvest this year as expected and the rice shortage will be resolved?

I would like inbound foreign tourists to eat a lot of Japan’s proud rice.

これで問題解決？

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。おはようございます。

今、日本人最大の関心事は食料品の価格高騰。

なかでも主食の米の品不足と価格急上昇は深刻な問題です。

この米不足の原因について、外国人観光客の急上昇と彼らが旅行中に消費する米食を一因とする考えもあるようですが実際はどうなんでしょうね。

そんなわけで車で外出する際には、各地の田んぼの様子が気になり、ついつい見てしまいますが、、、

実際のところ、結構、稲はたわわに実っていて、次々と収穫されているようです。

今のところ台風による深刻な被害もないようで、予想通り今年は豊作、米不足も解消されるでしょうか？

インバウンドの外国人観光客にも日本の誇るお米をたくさん食べてもらいたいですね。
