The place we should visit in this weekend!
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
It was Friday under the summer sky.
On the way back from bank and city hall, I swung by the spot I’ve been interested in.
It was opened in the spring of this year.
“Kitakyushu City Museum Of Peace”
This exhibition facility was built on the place where the biggest arsenal was located during WW2.
(I didn’t know that it was the biggest that time.)
They made canons, heavy machine gun, small tanks and so on.
Specially classified mission of balloon bombs was interesting.
(It surprised myself that that stupid mission had been prepared in my home town.)
Of course, there are exhibitions about this town was highly listed as atomic bomb primary target, because of the arsenal.
It was worth to experience watching short anime movie played in the mini theater with 360 degree screen and special effects.
In the war related book shelf, there are many war MANGA books in which children can be interested. And they have relaxing reading space (cozier than library next door). I think it is good place for family with kids.
When is the best timing to visit the facility, you think?

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
夏空に覆われた金曜日。
役所と銀行に用事があったついでに行ってきました。
今年の春、オープンしたばかりの施設です。
「北九州市平和のまちミュージアム」
戦時下、国内最大の兵器工場があった場所に作られた展示施設です。
（国内最大だったとは知りませんでした。）
大砲や重機関銃、小型戦車まで生産されていたみたいです。
なかでもマル秘作戦として準備されたかの「風船爆弾」もここで作られていたようです。
（そんな馬鹿げた作戦の生産拠点が故郷にあったとは驚きです。）
もちろんこの工場のため、この町が原爆投下目標の上位にリストアップされていたことの解説もあります。
360度スクリーンのミニシアターはアニメでの上映ながらなかなか工夫されていて一見の価値ありです。
また関連書籍棚には子供も親しめる内容の漫画も多数あり、閲覧スペースもゆったりしていて（隣の図書館より）子供連れにもオススメではないでしょうか？
