Learn from our guest – Secret of our town

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

The guest who stayed at our guesthouse during Golden Week

said that he visited here for a business trip, not for sightseeing purposes. 

We admire him working during holidays and talked with him.

And we found that guests’ business destinations are our favorite spots in this town where I have visited since my high school days.

As I chatted with the guests, I realized that even the seemingly peaceful spot is struggling with the trends of the times.

ゲストに学ぶ 〜 わが町の秘密

連休中に当宿を利用されたゲストさん。

観光目的ではなく、出張でいらっしゃったということ。

みんなが休んでいる時にご苦労様だと思って会話をすると、、、

なんとゲストの要件先は、普段から行きつけのこの町のお気に入りスポット。それも高校時代からの！

ゲストさんとの雑談の中で分かったのは、平和そうなそのスポットも時代の潮流に揉まれているんだなぁということ。

港町にて / At our port town

At our port town

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

It seems like the heavy rain has finally stopped, and we are wondering if the flowers have fallen off, as of today, Thursday.

The flowers were just about to full-bloom before the rain, so we wonder if they were able to survive without falling apart?

We didn’t know what the weather would be like in the future, so we went around our port town on Monday.

On weekdays in the first week of April, when the fiscal year started, the town was quiet as there were not many Japanese people.

By the way, the very best Sakura’s background must be “blue sky” after all.

We pray that the cherry blossoms will survive this rain and that the blue skies will return on Friday and Saturday.

港町にて

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

激しかった雨もようやく止んだようで、花散らしの雨となってしまったかが気になる本日 木曜日です。

雨降り前には満開直前の花だったので、散らずに耐えられたかな？

こんな風に先の天気がどうなるか分からなかったので、月曜日に港町を回ってみました。

年度始まりの４月第一週目の平日は、さすがに日本人が少ない分、町は静かでした。

ところで、、、やっぱりさくらのバックには「青空」ですよね。
