A familiar sight in this area #2 (but it may not be seen for a while)
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
As it is hot news in Japan too, I went out the town and check the situation.
It may be because forecasted rain was not fall in day time yet, I saw many tourists waking in this town, one of a sightseeing spots now.
I also see big tour buses and many tourists were riding on/getting off. Many people was speaking in Chinese on the waterfront souvenir street.
This may not be familiar for my high school friends who haven’t come back here for more than 10 years. however this happens almost every weekend lately. Not only streetscape, but also people waking there were changed very much in this town.
According to recent TV news, Chinese government decided to stop any group tours going out from China as of today. As they will cancel their trip to Japan, We may not be able to see this sight for a while.
We believe that the most important thing for us to pay extra attention to the potential disaster. I mean we as not only local government but also us individually. I strongly wish such situation will happen like we will regret sending masks to China, because of future outbreak in this town Japan, To think nothing to do with us is the worst idea.

P.S. Tour buses with Chinese words on pictures seems to be arranged for Chinese group tour, but tour companies are Taiwanese.
(Honestly speaking, it is difficult for Japanese to distinguish Chinese, Hongkonger and Taiwanese, sorry to say so for my friends in Hong Kong and Taiwan.)

よく見る光景 (2) でも、見れなくなるかも？
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
ニュースで騒がれているので、買い出しついでに街の様子を見に行ってきました。
降ると予報されていた雨がなんとか降らずにいてくれているせいか、観光地でもあるわが港町はそこそこの賑わいです。
団体ツアーのバスの出入りも、乗客の乗り降りもけっこう頻繁に行われていて、お土産ストリートには中国語が溢れています。
ここ１０年ぐらい故郷に帰省していないこの町出身者には馴染みのない光景かもしれませんが、今やとても良く見かける光景です。「おいらの街」もずいぶん変わってしまいましたよ。町並みや建物だけでなく、町を歩く人も、昔とはガラッと変わっています。
ニュースによれば、国の施策により明日からの中国からの全ての団体ツアーがキャンセルとのこと。このよく見る光景も「見れなくなる」かもしれません。
ただ注意したいのは、この問題「対岸の火事」で済まなくならないようにしなくてはならないということですね。行政も私たち一人ひとりも。支援の名目で日本からマスクを輸出している場合でなくなってしまわないことを祈ります。

P.S. ちなみに、掲載画像のツアーバス、、、中国語ですが、実際は自分も大好きな「台湾」のツアー会社のチャーター便のようです。（中国人も、香港人も、台湾人も、日本人にとって区別つきにくいところが、なんとも微妙な感じですね。）
