Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

As we mentioned sometimes, we can see fireworks from here every weekend during the summer, which are set off in various places along this strait.

Fireworks were also set off over the strait over last weekend, and although they were a distance away, they entertained our guests.

And today is the last holiday of the September tourist season.

We wonder if fireworks will be set off somewhere again to entertain us?

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

夏の間、いろんな場所で上げられる花火が週末のたびにここから見れることは以前にも紹介しましたが、、、

週末もこの海峡では花火が上がっていて、距離こそありましたが、ゲストさんたちを楽しませてくれました。

そして今日は９月の行楽シーズンの最後の祝日です。

またどこかで上がる花火が私たちを楽しませてくれるかな？

Rock superstar has a cool idea!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

A TV show I wanted to watch about six years ago but missed was rebroadcast last week.

What’s the show about?

It was a special documentary program about host’s favorite Japanese superstar.

He mentioned some really good ideas in it.

“I could speak only a few English words,

But I talk hundreds of conversations with American friends.

I used to use an interpreter, but I felt that the message wasn’t conveyed with any emotion,

６年ほど前に見たくて見逃したテレビ番組が先週再放送されました。

何についての番組かって？

憧れのスーパースターについての特集ドキュメント番組です。

We had a guest couple who have traveled all over the world before they stayed here.

As a host who loves to travel, I can’t help but ask them.

“Did you gain anything from traveling around the world?”

We got an interesting answer.

“None of the cities were as amazing as the pictures and videos we had seen before we went,” they said.

For example, smell.

Their daily routine during the trip was to take an early morning walk. Central Park in New York had more homeless people than they had imagined, and it smelled like urine, so it left a strong memory for them.

I agree that smells can’t be conveyed in travel guides.

At the same time, I was reminded that this is an important issue to be aware of.

They said that no matter which city they went to, they always thought, “My own country is the best.”

“except Japan…”

ここに来る前にぐるっと世界を回ってきたゲストさんカップル。

旅好きの宿主としては聞かずにはいられません。

「世界をまわってみて、何か得るものありましたか？」

面白い答えが返ってきました。

「どこも行く前に見ていた画像や動画のように凄くはなかった」とのこと。

たとえば、臭い。

旅行中の彼らの日課は早朝の散歩で、ニューヨークのセントラルパークでは想像以上に浮浪者が多く、ションベン臭くてその記憶が強く残ったようです。

たしかに臭いは旅行ガイドでは伝わらないよなと納得。

同時に気をつけるべき重要な項目だと再認識しました。

彼らが言うには、どの街に行っても、結局「自分の国が一番じゃん」と思ったそうです。

「日本以外は、、、」

それでは、一度外に出てみて、あらためて自分の住処の良さを実感する素敵な一日を！
