In stark contrast to Wednesday’s rain, Thursday brought fine weather to the Kanmon area from the morning.
Our guest who had jogged to Mojiko early in the morning asked me to set up an outdoor breakfast for them!
The day before, we introduced them to Kokura YAKINIKU Street, which is highly recommended by the local government, but they wanted to cook their own YAKINIKU and eat to their heart’s content, so we ended up preparing their outdoor self-cooking.
They had purchased high-quality marbled Wagyu beef, which they grilled over charcoal and enjoyed a hearty meal. Despite it being before lunchtime, they were very pleased, saying, “This was definitely a better choice than YAKINIKU Street.”
Only for our guests staying multiple nights, we are prepared to provide a grilling area with charcoal and other equipment on the middle day of their stay, although there will be a small grilling fee.
Our guests are welcome to bring their own food supplies and cook outdoors between 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM on the middle day of their stay.
We have grills of various sizes (small, medium, and large), so even solo travelers can enjoy BBQ using fresh Japanese ingredients.
(However, please refrain from holding the event on rainy days or cooking seafood with a strong odor.)

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
水曜日の雨とはうって変わって、木曜日の関門エリアは朝から良いお天気。
早朝から門司港までジョギングされたゲストさんに頼まれて、屋外での朝食をセッティングしました！
前日にはご当地自治体が絶賛推奨する小倉焼肉ストリートをご紹介したのですが、ご自身で調理してお腹いっぱい食べたいとのことで、屋外セルフ調理となりました。
高級な和牛霜降り肉を購入されてきて、それを炭火で焼いてガッツリ食べながら「やっぱり焼肉ストリートよりもこっちで良かった」とお昼前にもかかわらず、大変喜ばれていました。
当宿では連泊されるゲストさんの滞在中日の限定で、多少の焼き代はいただきますが、炭火などを準備して焼き場を提供する準備がございます。
ゲストさんにはご自身が口に入れる食材などを購入していらしていただければ、滞在中日の午前９時から午後８時までの間で屋外調理をしていただけます。
グリルも大中小と揃っていますので、おひとり旅のゲストさんでも、新鮮なにっぽんの食材を使ったBBQなどを楽しんでいただけます。
（但し、雨の日の実施や、匂いの強い魚介類などの調理はご遠慮いただきます。）
