Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

While walking through downtown Kitakyushu, I came across a shocking sight.

The usual street corner seems a bit dark!

Even before our guesthouse opened, our favorite store that we had always used had disappeared.

The shop was well-liked by our guests who were anime fans, but…

Is the reuse industry, which has become popular recently, also having a hard time?

We need to find new recommended shops to serve as local information that is so useful to our guests.

いつもの街角がなんか暗いっ！

当宿の開業前から、いつもお世話になっていたお気に入りのお店が消えていたんです。

アニメファンのゲストさん達にも気に入られていたのに、、、

最近人気のリユースの業界も大変なんでしょうか？

ゲストさんたちに重宝されているローカル情報として、またあらたなオススメのお店を探さないと、、、

One view will gone, new view will come

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

There are many episodes about the disappearance of landmarks such as the giant chimneys and regular ferry routes in the landscape of this Kanmon Straits…

However occasionally a new landscape emerges.

That’s it, which is under the construction on the other side!

A new facility for a major lodging company that is growing at an unstoppable pace is being constructed there…

Before we knew it, the scaffolding and coverings on the exterior walls had been removed, and the entire exterior of the facility was now visible from the opposite bank.

We are sure that all those involved are working hard to prepare for the opening this year.

We do hope that this will bring new vitality to this Kanmon Strait.

去る風景あれば、来る風景あり

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

ここ関門海峡の景観においては、ランドマークにもなっていた巨大煙突や、定期航路のフェリーなどなくなってしまう話が多いのですが、、、

新しい景観がやってくることもまれにあります。

それが、対岸に建設中のこちら！

今や飛ぶ鳥を落とす勢いで成長している、大手宿泊企業の新たな拠点が建設されていたのですが、、、

気がつくと外壁の足場や覆いが撤去され、施設の外観全容が対岸であるこちらからでも見えるようになっていました。

関係者におかれては、本年の開業に向けて、まさに鋭意準備されていることでしょう。

この関門海峡にあたらな賑わいが創生されるといいですね。

We will no longer be able to see one of our favorite night views from here.

This ferry will cease operation at the end of coming June.

Every night around 10 o’clock, we pause our conversations with guests to watch the regular Straits Show together from this dining room, but this will be coming to an end in just over two months.

We feel very sad and disappointed to think that another exciting event for our guests will be gone.

この夏には見れなくなる光景

またひとつ大好きな夜景がここから見れなくなってしまいます。

来たる６月いっぱいを持って、運航終了となるようです。

毎晩１０時前後になると、ゲストさんとの談話を一時停止して、ダイニングから一緒に眺めていた定期海峡ショーもあと２ヶ月余りで終わりです。

ゲストさんを感動させる出来事がまた一つなくなると思うと、とても残念で寂しい気分になります。
