Looking for fine GYOZA!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

We are introducing recommended local foods from the perspective of “Autumn for Appetite”…

Speaking of Autumn for Appetite, it’s no exaggeration to say that my recent trip to Tokyo was all about Gyoza (dumpling).

I came across some unique Gyoza.

That’s it!

It was very unique in shape and taste, unlike the Gyoza we are used to.

I learned about this restaurant from a TV program where a local taxi drivers teach us about a delicious restaurants.

The restaurant was quite crowded, but perhaps my expectations were too high.

But I will continue to research and find delicious restaurants locate between Kitakyushu and Tokyo.

おいしい餃子探索中！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

「食欲の秋」という切り口で、ローカルなおすすめフードを紹介していますが、、、

食欲の秋といえば、先日の東京行きは、餃子を巡る旅だったといっても過言ではありません。

一風変わった餃子に出会いました。

それがこちら！

形と味が慣れ親しんでいるそれとは異なり、とてもユニークでした。

このお店を知ったのはとあるテレビ番組から、地元のタクシー運転手に美味しいお店を教えてもらうというアレです。

結構混んでいるお店でしたが、期待が大きすぎたのかもしれません。

今後も北九州・東京間の美味しいお店探し、ますますアンテナ高くリサーチしていきます。

New recommendations for our guests with car

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

In the previous article, we introduced the recommended “NIKU-UDON = meat udon” to the guests coming by JR Kagoshima line.

We have also prepared recommended information for our guests who are coming from/returning to Fukuoka by car.

It is Kitakyushu’s “Yakisoba/Champon”.

We have once introduced the store in front of JR Yawata Station that is part of this chain (Master-disciple relationship).

And this restaurant is said to be the origin of that restaurant.

The downside is that it closes early at 8 o’clock (generally speaking, good restaurants in Japan close early).

This time, we arrived about 3 minutes late for the last order at 7:45pm, and was kindly shown to a table.

Both the original “chicken cutlet topped yakisoba” and “champon” are very delicious, unlike any other yakisoba or champon eaten in other areas of Japan.

お車のゲストさん向け オ・ス・ス・メ！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

前回JR鹿児島線でいらっしゃるゲストさんにオススメの「肉うどん」を紹介しましたが、、、

実はお車で福岡方面からいらっしゃる／に戻られるゲストさんへのオススメ情報も仕込んできました。

それは北九州の「焼きそば／チャンポン」です。

（店名に反して、個人的に好きな方を先に記載しました。笑）

当系列（舎弟関係）にあるJR八幡駅前のお店は以前紹介したことがありますが、、、

こちらはそのお店の源流といわれているお店です。

閉店時間が８時と早いのが玉にキズですが（だいたい日本でうまい店は早く閉まるとこ多いです）、

今回ラストオーダーの19:45に3分ほど遅れて入店したところ、親切にも席を案内いただきました。

こちらの元祖「チキンカツのせ焼きそば」も「チャンポン」も日本国内他の地域で食べるどの焼きそば・チャンポンとも違ってすごく美味しいです。

New recommendations for our guests

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

The mountains in the Kanmon area don’t turn to autumn colors yet, but…

It seems like my stomach is a little too full of autumn colors already.

In such autumn with appetite, we discovered a new local B-class (reasonable but fine) gourmet dish that we would like to recommend to our guests.

It is NIKU-UDON （Meat Udon)!

Although it is a little far away, the restaurant is within walking distance from our guesthouse.

The first thing that surprises us when we order is the presence of meat!

Then, when we take a first bite, we will be captivated by the uniqueness and flavor of the soup. (Perhaps they are using soup made with boiled meat?)

Anyway, this restaurant has become my favorite recently.

If you combine the menu items, you can get a set like this for the same price as the NIKU-UDON, which is also recommended!

Speaking of meat udon, I thought it was a specialty of Kokuraminami Ward, which borders our town to the south, where they even publish a pamphlet called Udon Map, but this town of Moji also has NIKU-UDON that we can confidently recommend.

ゲストさんへの新しいオ・ス・ス・メ

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

なかなか秋色に色づかない関門エリアの山々ですが、、、

自分の胃袋はずいぶんと秋色にそまってしまっているようです。

そんな食欲の秋、ゲストさんにオススメしたい新たな地元のB級グルメ発見しました。

それは肉うどん！

少し距離はありますが、当宿から徒歩圏内のお店です。

注文してまず驚くのが、肉の存在感！

そして一口食べて、つゆの個性と旨さにやられてしまいます。（肉を煮たスープを使っているのかな？）

とにかく最近のマイブームになっています。

メニューを組み合わせると、肉うどんと同価格でこういうセットもできてこちらもオススメ！

肉うどんといえば、うどんまっぷなるパンフレットまで発行している我が町の南に接する小倉南区の名物かと思っていましたが、この町「門司」にも自信を持って勧められる肉うどんありました。
