What our guests taught us! – This should not happen in this country

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

It’s a disappointing story, but I finally had a chance to hear episode like this from a guest.

This kind of thing shouldn’t happen here in Japan. Why does it have to happen within 15km from here?

So this is a crime story. This also happened in the same line of work like us.

Some of our guests spend several days exploring this area, and surprisingly, they try out a number of accommodations within those few days.

According to the guest, when he returned to a certain accommodation after sightseeing that day, the staff at the accommodation insisted that he look at the stars in the night sky.

He takes the opportunity to look at the sky outside for a while, and when he returns to his room, he notices that his luggage has been moved.

In fact, he seemed a little uncomfortable with the invitation to stargaze, so he took a picture of the room before leaving.

So, he compared to the items in the image, and he found that the daypack was rotated 180 degrees.

And it appears that cash was removed from his wallet.

I thought it might have been a misunderstanding on the part of the guests, but I was told that their actions after that, that they went to the police station, that they showed images of the luggage before and after the incident as evidence, and that they were told that they couldn’t crack down on that alone. Judging by taking everything into account…

When I thought about whether there were some travelers who went to the police without any hesitation during a fun trip, I realized that this must be true.

I am a host who believes that something like this should never happen in Japan, where safety and security are so important to the hearts of travelers.

As we enter the Obon holidays, many people, both foreign and Japanese, travel, so I would like to share this information with you as a warning.

こんなこと日本であってはいけない 〜 ゲストが教えてくれたもの♫

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

とても残念なお話ですが、とうとうこんなエピソードをゲストから聞くことがありました。

こんなことはこの日本では起こってはいけないのに、それもよりによってここから15km圏内で、、、

つまり、これは犯罪の話です。それも同業者で起きた、、、

ゲストさんたちの中にはこのエリアを数日かけて巡る人がいて、意外とその数日間のうちにいくつもの宿泊施設を体験してみるということをしているそうです。

そのゲストさんによると、その日観光を終えてとある宿に戻ってきたところに、宿のスタッフに夜空の星を鑑賞することをしきりに勧められたそうです。

せっかくだからとしばらく外で空を眺めて部屋に戻ると、なんか荷物が動かされている気がする。

実は星空鑑賞のお誘いに多少の違和感を感じていたので、部屋を出る前に室内を撮影していたそうです。

で、その画像の状態と比べると、デイパックが180度回転していたとのこと。

そして財布からは現金が抜かれていたようです。

ゲストさんの勘違いかとも思われましたが、その後の彼らの行動、警察署に行ったこと、証拠として事前事後の荷物の画像を見せたこと、それだけでは取り締まることはできないと言われたことなどを総合して判断すると、、、

楽しい旅行の最中に、何も好き好んで警察に行く旅行者が居るかと考えると、やはり事実なのだろうと思いました。

安全・安心が旅行者の心を動かすほどの日本国内にあって、こんなことは本当にあってはいけないと思う宿主です。

お盆休みに入り、ガイジン・日本人問わずに旅する人が多くなるこの時期、注意喚起の意味も込めて本件共有します。
