Big project of this summer – Destroy root cause all at once
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
We had thought long and hard about how to respond to this biggest crisis since this guesthouse opened.
Should we hire a professional?
In the end, we came to the conclusion that
we would deal with it all by ourselves!
The reason is that more hot summers are possible in the future, and the same thing could happen again.
I immediately gathered up some usable outdoor gear I had on hand to avoid any retaliation…
Although it was a scorching hot day, I decided to climb the ladder wearing a thick long-sleeved jacket, long pants, gloves and boots to cover my exposed body parts,
It was late night of three days after the problem was discovered, we confirmed that all the hornets had returned to their nests…
And I repelled them all at once.
The next morning, with temperatures already over 30 degrees, I put on the full gear again and checked to see if we had been able to destroy their nest and kill them all.
Just to be sure, we sprayed the insecticide again and since it also seems to have a preventative effect, we sprayed it around the surrounding area and our mission was complete!
No guests were harmed and peace was restored to this guesthouse.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
当宿開業以来最大のピンチ、どう対応すべきか色々と思案しました。
専門業者に頼むべきか？
最終的に自分が下した結論は、、、
自分自身で対処すると！
理由は、今後も猛暑の夏が予想され、再び同じことが起こる可能性があるから。
早速、反撃されないよう、手持ちのアウトドア・グッズから使えるものをかき集め、、、
猛暑日ではありましたが、厚手の長袖ジャンバーに長ズボン、手袋や長靴で露出部をなくして、脚立に登ることにしました。
発見から三日後の夜、スズメバチが皆、巣に帰還していることを確認して、、、
一気に撃退しました。
翌朝すでに３０度越えになる中、再び完全装備をまとって壊滅できているか確認しました。
念押しに薬剤を再噴射するとともに、予防効果もあるそうなので、周囲にも散布して今回のミッション・コンプリート！
ゲストさんに被害が及ぶこともなく、当宿にまた平穏を取り戻すことができました。
