Miracle Lights
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
Landmarks that shine brilliantly in the night view of the Kanmon Strait seen from this town.
The second landmark is the “Miracle Lights.”
That light is the Ferris wheel at the small amusement park “Hai! Karat Yokocho”.
In fact, this amusement park was supposed to close at the end of October last year, and its operating company would turn it into a vacant lot and return it to the city.

However, a successor management company did not emerge, and just before the park closed, the contract was extended and the current operation continues, a precious light that has allowed this bright light to continue.
If there weren’t these lights in this strait, the night view would have been rather lonely.

奇跡の灯り
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
この町から望む関門海峡の夜景の中に燦然と輝くランドマーク。
二つ目のランドマークは「奇跡の灯り」です。
その灯りとは小規模アミューズメントパーク「はい！からっと横丁」にある観覧車です。
実はこのアミューズメントパーク、昨年１０月末で閉園してその運営会社が更地にして市に返還することになっていたのです。

それが、、、後任となる運営会社が現れず、閉園直前に契約延長、現在の営業、この明るい灯の継続となった貴重な灯りです。
この灯りがなければ、この夜景はどんなにか寂しいものになったことでしょう。
