We can do nothing about it
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
Probably like many towns in Japan, the Kanmon area is very cold this week.
And. we had the first snowfall of the season!
The snow that started falling on Thursday evening had piled up by the next morning.
There was a thin layer of ice under the white snow, and since our guesthouse was located in the middle of a steep slope, we couldn’t drive out, so we couldn’t go shopping.
So, I gave up on going shopping that morning and decided to go back to sleep.
By the afternoon, the snow and ice seemed to have melted, so I was able to get my car out and finished shopping.
Although we were busy, we could complete the preparations before the guests arrived.
According to the weather forecast, there will be a chance of snow again this weekend.
Once it piles up, we can do nothing about it, we wonder if there will be days when I’m afraid to look out the window in the morning.

手も足も出ねぇ
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
おそらく日本国内の様々な町と同様、今週の関門エリアはとても寒いです。
そして今シーズン初めての積雪！
木曜の夕方に降り出した雪は、翌朝には珍しく積もっていました。
白く見える雪の下には氷がバリバリに張っていて、急坂の途中にある当宿は車も出せないので、買い出しもできない状態でした。
とういうわけで、その朝は買い出しに出るのを諦めて、二度寝することに決めました。
午後になると、どうにか雪も氷も溶けた様子だったので、なんとか車を出せて買い出しも完了。
バタバタしながらもゲストさんの到着前には受け入れ準備を終えることが出来ました。
天気予報によれば、この週末にもまた降雪の可能性ありとのこと。
いったん積もると手も足も出ないので、朝、窓の外を見るのが怖い日が続きそうです。
