To be like TOUKA
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
There were a few happy things happened to us recently.
One guest, who stayed here in this spring, sent us e-mail that she is going out with the man, she talked us about during her stay.
We pushed her back with encouraging that she had better to go ahead, without hesitating it is her first falling love.
Another guest sent us comment with message that he can find “the direction of my life” when he checked out here.
The other guest who chased her new potential dream to here, left memo “This stay can be the original point for her future life”. It may be because we support her to approach to the dream.
The light can not be the goal,
but after going ahead to the light,
we can find the new direction we should go ahead.
“TOUKA (灯火)”
which is a light from the lighthouse,
reliable index to pass the hardest part.
We named this guesthouse with our dream to be like that.
There were not so many yet but a few guests felt such experiences here.
We really appreciate that and that encourage us a lot.

灯火に、、、
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
最近、ちょっと嬉しいことがありました。
春、この宿に滞在して、ダイニングでたくさん話をしたゲストから、
その時に話題になった男の子と付き合うことになりました、と連絡が入りました。
その夜、「気になっているのなら、初めての交際だからと躊躇せずにトライすべき」と彼女の背中を押しました。
別のゲストからは、チェックアウトして「the direction of my life」が見えました、とコメントに添えて、メッセージをもらいました。
本物が見つかりそうと夢を追いかけてここまでやって来たゲストには、夢に近づくお手伝いをチョコっとだけしてあげたことで、今回の滞在が「私にとっての、大切な“原点”」になりそうだと、部屋にメモが残っていました。
決してその光が目的地・目標ではないけれど、
そこを目指して進んでいくと、
次に進むべき新たな針路が見つかる場所。
それが、、、
「灯火 (TOUKA)」
難所を乗り切る際に頼りになる「灯台の灯（あかり）」
そういう想いを込めて、この名前を付けました。
まだまだ少ないけれど、そんな体験ができたというゲストの存在は、有難くも大きな励みになります。
