Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
When we talked about what happened to the convenience store in Yamanashi, which is crowded with foreign tourists visiting Japan, I remembered that I had visited another site that caught my attention.
Here it is. Do you all remember?
It was the news about the land that has caved in due to the public works carried out by the local government, and the condominium that were standing on top of it have been tilted. The location is in the western part of Hiroshima city.
I couldn’t get close to the building on that day due to entry restrictions, but even from a distance I was able to see that the large steel structure was leaning.
In fact, a similar cave-in accident had previously occurred near the host’s base in Tokyo.
Both are caused by underground tunnel construction!
In Japan, there is a sense of overconfidence in tunnel digging technology, and there is a national trait of digging many tunnels.
In the case of this accident, they probably believed that digging a tunnel under a residential area would not cause any problems.
The residents who lived in the condo complex must have been very upset and depressed.
This is a site that will continue to be of interest even after reporting.

気になる現場！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
訪日外国人観光客で賑わうコンビニのその後を話題をしたところ、もうひとつ気になる現場を尋ねたことを思い出しました。
それはこちら。みなさん覚えているでしょうか？
自治体の進める公共工事の影響で土地が陥没し、上に立っていたマンションが傾いてしまったあのニュースです。場所は広島市西部。
当日は規制が入っていて近寄れませんでしたが、遠目でも大型の鉄筋建造物が傾いていることを確認することができました。
実はかつて宿主の東京の拠点近くでも、同様の陥没事故が起きていたのです。
原因はどちらも、、、地下のトンネル工事！
日本ではそのトンネル掘削技術を過信している感があって、なにかとトンネルを掘る国民性があります。
きっと今回の事故の場合も住宅地の下にトンネル掘っても、問題は起こらないと思い込んでいたのでしょう。
マンションに住んでいた住民はたまったものではありません。
報道のその後も気になる現場です。
