Brilliance of hope
Today, August 9th, is a day of prayer held twice a year at our guesthouse. I prioritized prayer over social media and planned not to post any articles.
However, when I went outside to prune the out-of-season hydrangeas to clean up the area around the entrance before praying,

I was surprised to see a single lily shining white among the faded hydrangeas. Even though we didn’t plant it.
Perhaps the god known as nature knew that pure prayers would be offered here on this day and caused the flowers to bloom here.
I offer these flowers and prayers so that all wars and conflicts that occur on earth will end immediately.
And as always, I offer my prayers to the people of Nagasaki who died in the atomic bombing, on behalf of my ancestors who lived in Kitakyushu.
Thank you and you have a nice day without being disappointed in humanity.
