We have reported how easy living in this town.
One of the big reason is low price of foods.
Not only fresh foods but also delicatessens are cheap here.
These price will discounted to half soon. And it is like we are buying BENTO with cost of ONIGIRI (rice ball) in convenience store.
Several days ago, I was informed why they are super cheap and I am sharing it with honorable readers.
One day, I made friends with one guy from south neighborhood city. The topic was about the big discount store, TOUKA also use frequently.
According to him, the biggest reason why is “Globalization”.
There are the store’s big central (kitchen) factory in his city. People are working there now Malaysian now. The members are always shifted to cheaper labor nationality.
They are technical trainee, which is sometimes focused in TV.
As we are in the tourism industry, our biggest concern is about foreign tourists here. But we are interested in the topic about foreign technical trainees.
One day, you may notice that all “Made in Japan” items are made by foreigner in Japan. It can be also possible for us to have foreign family member some day.

住みやすさの裏に忍び寄る影！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
この町が住みやすいことは何度も取り上げてきましたが、、、
その要因の一つが「食品の安さ」です。
生鮮食料品はもちろんのこと、お惣菜もめちゃくちゃ安いです。
この価格がすぐに半額セールになるので、コンビニおにぎりの価格でお弁当一つが買えるそんなぐらい安いんです。
その安さの訳が、ふとしたことで分かり、驚いたのでログしておきます。
あることがキッカケで知り合った我が市に隣接する南の町の方、その人と雑談している中で「灯火」でもよくお世話になっているディスカウント・スーパーの話題になりました。
情報によると、その安さの理由は「国際化」。
その南の町にあるスーパー直営の巨大工場では、大勢のマレーシア人が働いていて、スーパー各店で販売されるお惣菜を集中生産しているそうです。今はマレーシア人ですが、以前は違う人種だったらしく、労働者の出身国は常に安く調達できる国へと次から次へシフトしているそうです。
ニュースでも話題になる「職業実習生」の名目で働いている外国人達です。
職業柄、自分は外国人観光客の動向が一番の関心ですが、外国人労働者のこともすごく気になります。
ある日、気がついたら、Made in Japan のはずが、衣も食も住も、すべて作っているのは外国人になっているかもしれませんね。
（そのうち、家族も最愛の人も外国人になってるかも、、、）
