Reasonable but Elegant? or Expensive but Jam-packed?

A brand new accommodation facility built on the other side of the strait.
The second flaw the host noticed was also a design issue, specifically an inconvenience caused by their capacity settings.
When I used this service this month, the New Year’s holidays had ended and everyone was returning to work in general Japanese society, which is what is called the “off-season*” in the accommodation industry. (To be precise, the day after the first day of work in New Year.)
*The day I checked out was set as an irregular “OFF” on which they do not take any reservations, so this is probably the time when the facility has the lowest number of reservations they forecasted.
Perhaps thanks to this, I was able to enjoy a truly infinity-like moment in the facility’s so-called “Infinity Pool,” just like in the promotional images.
However, even though it was the quietest time, there were still a fair number of guests at the infinity pool before dawn.
The pool itself is trapezoidal in shape and is less than 20 meters long at its longest point, slightly larger than the compact pools found in average Hawaiian homes.
The infinity image I took was actually taken with care to avoid capturing other guests in the image.
This means that on weekends, especially during long holidays and summer vacations…
We can imagine it would turn into an endless, jam-packed “saltwater open-air bath” with bunch of people in it.
And that’s while paying a special high accommodation fee during peak season…
So, my advice to anyone thinking about using this accommodation and pool is…
If you’re planning on staying, I recommend going on a weekday, preferably right after a long weekend or school break.
For example, the next best timing would be to stay the day before school opening ceremony in April.

P.S. By the way, our guesthouse TOUKA takes only one group’s reservation a day. So there is no Jam-packed situation happens in TOUKA.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
海峡の対岸に新設された真新しい宿泊施設。
宿主が気付いた二つ目の欠点も設計上の問題、具体的に言うとキャパシティ設定に起因する不都合です。
今月、自分がこちらを利用したのは、日本の一般社会ではお正月の休暇も終わり、皆が仕事に戻るタイミング、つまり宿泊業でいうところの「閑散期*」でした。（＝正確にいうと仕事始めの翌日）
*チェックアウトした日は、予約を取らない不定の「休日」に設定されていたことから、こちらの施設でも一番予約稼働が低いタイミングという認識なのでしょう。
そのおかげか、その施設の名付けた「インフィニティプール」では、宣伝画像のような心よりインフィニティなひと時を満喫することできました。
ただ、最も閑散なタイミングとは言っても、それなりの数のゲストが夜明け前のインフィニティプールにいらっしゃっていました。
プール自体は台形のかたちをした、長いところでも20mない、ハワイの普通の家にあるようなコンパクトプールよりは多少大きい程度のサイズです。
自分が撮ったインフィニティな画像も、実のところ他のゲストさんが映り込まないように工夫して撮影したものです。
ということは、週末や、ましてや三大連休、夏休み時期には、、、
インフィニティに芋洗いな「塩水露天風呂」になるんだろうと想像できます。
それも、繁忙期の特別に高い宿泊料を払って、、、
というわけで、これからこちらの宿泊施設・プールを利用しようと考えている方へのアドバイスは、、、
泊まるなら、平日、それも連休や学校のお休み直後をお勧めします。
たとえば、次に良さそうなのは４月の始業式の前日ステイではないでしょうか？
それでは、マジョリティが届かない領域をリーズナブルに楽しむ素敵な一日を！
以上、月曜日の８時(AM)ちょうどのあずさに乗って、窓にビールを並べ、新宿出発と同時にビールを開けて車窓に映る中央線各駅の上りホームを眺めるのが最高に好きな宿主からのアドバイスでした。
