Smells like spring, smells like teen spirit
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
In the Kanmon area, we had strong southerly winds on Monday.
While looking around town to see if there were any spots where guests arriving later in the week could enjoy the cherry blossoms, I found an interesting spot.
That site used to be a public gambling facility, but it has now been renovated into a multi-purpose sports facility that can be used by the public.
There were some magnificent cherry trees there, and a family were enjoying Sakura blossom viewing picnic, but unfortunately, the wind was so strong that they seemed to be scrambling to keep their picnic blankets from being blown away.
Despite the strong winds, boys and girls who appeared to be middle school students were seriously practicing basketball at the facility.
Perhaps inspired by them, the host also felt an irresistible urge to move, and for the first time in a long time, chased after an oval ball on the grass.
Now that we’re entering a good season for physical activity, I’d like to make use of this on days when there’s no wind or waves.
By the way, regarding the Sakura blossoms, I’m so sorry to think that many of them must have fallen due to the rain that fell early this morning, especially for our guests.

春の香り、若気の匂い
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
月曜日の関門エリアは強い南風。
週後半にいらっしゃるゲストさんが桜の花を楽しめるスポットはないかとこの町の桜の状況を見て回っていて、面白いスポットを見つけました。
その場所にはかつて公営ギャンブル施設があったのですが、今では市民が利用できる複合運動施設にリフォームされていました。
そこには立派な桜の木もあって、お花見されている家族もいらっしゃったのですが、あいにくの風でシートが飛ばされないよう右往左往されていたようです。
施設では、そんな強風にも負けず、中学生と思しき男女が真剣にバスケットボールの練習をしていました。
彼らの姿に刺激されたのか、無性に体を動かしたくなり、宿主も芝生の上で久しぶりに楕円球を追いかけてみました。
これから、体を動かすには良い時期を迎えるので、風や波のない日にはこちらを活用したいと思います。
ところで、肝心の桜の花については、今日未明に降った雨でずいぶん散ってしまったのではないかと、ゲストさんのことを思い残念で仕方ありません。
