Sightseeing spot in Golden Week?

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

On the way back from bank at the last day of April, I took photos of this port town.

I believe that Japanese Golden Week started on April. 29th.
I have thought that our home port town is a sightseeing spot now.

I reported about the town at end of March. It was before the emergency declaration was announced but it was just after Fukuoka pref. requested us to refrain from going out without necessary reason. There were still people walking around the area, but there is nobody now one month later.

This town doesn’t have so many people in normal weekday but I have never seen such quiet town without anyone since I came back to this town 4 years ago.

There is no car in parking lots where many cars make line on weekend.

It is like a port town on tourism brochure.

I felt very strange to see water sparking from fountain in the front yard of the station.

ゴールデンウィーク中の観光地？

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

月末最終日、銀行に行く途中に、わが港町を写真におさめてみました。

たしか日本ゴールデンウィークの定義は4月29日からですよね？
たしかふるさとの港町は観光地になったんですよね？

3月末にもこの町の様子を記事にしました。その時はまだ国の緊急事態宣言前でしたが、福岡県としては「不要不急の外出自粛要請」を出した直後のタイミングでした。
あの時にはまだまだ散策をしている観光客がいたのが、１ヶ月経って、まったくいなくなりました。

普段の平日には人が少ないことが恒例ですが、ここまで人がいない町をみたのは、４年前に戻って以来初めてです。

週末には車が並ぶ駐車場もガラガラです。

パンフレットに載るような、誰もいないレトロな町です。

人が誰もいないのに、噴水だけがはじけているのが、とても不思議な感覚でした。

there are flowers blooming under clear sky with summer day temperature. It is…

really Ideal Weather for an outing!

However, we cannot go out for fun. It seems that our god this year is a little mean.

Because the weather is so special that we should enjoy it at terrace and garden even in our home.

We do propose this again!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

To fight with COVID-19 in Japan, I do propose this again as a manager of a little guesthouse.

Setting the discussion about loose restriction of going out aside,
* Japanese government should prepare ACCEPTABLE INSPECTION SYSTEM to global standard for COVID-19 and grasp whole picture of infection.  And they should take most effective measures, based on the analysis with the data from result of the inspection, and appeal it quantitively to public.

When I watched supplementary budget deliberation of congress on TV, I got quite disappointed with seeing listed measures of our government.

Without doing what they should do, those are all useless, no matter spending 10billion JPY for creating contents for stay, spending another 10billion for promotion of Japan tourism, and spending 1.7trillion JPY for “Go To Campaign”(what is campaign?), Three months later, which tourist will choose the most risky country, out of three choices, Taiwan, Korea and Japan?

We recognized again that neither Japanese government nor officers can make any actions based on the idea of putting themselves in citizen’s shoes.

あらためて提言します！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

新型コロナウイルスに立ち向かうにあたり、ちいさい宿の宿主よりあらためて提言します。

要請ベースのゆるい外出規制はともかく、今やるべきは：
＊世界が納得するレベルの検査体制を整備し、客観的数値で感染状況をしっかり把握し、それをベースに効果的に感染対策し、効果を定量的にアピールすべきです。

祝日に開催された国会の補正予算審議を見ていて、政府の考えていることにガッカリしました。

やるべきこと（検査）をやらずに、102億円もかけて「滞在コンテンツを造成」しても、96億円かけて「プロモーション」しても、このままの検査体制で観光客の心が日本に向かうことはありません。三ヶ月後「台湾」「韓国」「日本」の三択で旅行先を選ぶとして、どの外国旅行客が「感染リスク」のより高い日本に来たいと思うでしょう？ 1.7兆円の「Go To Campaign」、、、意味がわかりません。

やっぱり日本の政治家や役人は「人の気持ちになって考える」ということができないようです。

それでは、自ら置かれている立場を理解し、自ら動くことでより素敵な一日を！
