The best sympathizer

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Olympic torch relay is on going in Japan now.

Today it is going around world heritages in central area of Japan.

The torch will arrive at the second biggest town, Osaka, soon which is having big infection now. They are considering changing route and event schedule. It can be big headache of Olympic Organizing Committee.

Not only Osaka issue, Olympic Organizing Committee has a lot of headaches, such as former chairman’s bad comment. How to organize safe torch relay and Olympic games should be full of worries for the committee.

Lately I think that we, guesthouse is the best sympathizer of Olympic Organizing Committee.

It is because the committee must control the infection and activity and health of athletes from various countries. They cannot have any clusters in the Olympic Village.

Since the pandemic of COVID-19, the biggest risk of us has been infection between our guests in our facility. To prevent it, we have had only one group of guests a day and making various effort. Of course, we take care about infection to our staffs.

As the result of such worries, we have not been able to promote this guesthouse positively.

Even if the Olympic games will be held without any audiences, it will be the big event athletes from various countries get together. We hope no cluster and no having new mutant strain during the event.

一番の理解者

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

待ちに待ったオリンピック・トーチ・リレー。

今日あたりは中部地方の世界遺産を巡っている頃でしょう。

まもなく到着する大阪では、感染急拡大の影響でトーチ・リレーの運営方法が変わるという話もあり、オリンピック組織委員会も頭の痛い日が続いていることと思われます。

オリンピック組織委員会の頭痛といえば、トーチリレーだけでなく、前会長の失言等で苦労されている集団です。ただ頭痛はそれだけでなくて、実際の大会開催に際しても頭の痛い心配事がたくさんだろうと想像します。

そんな心配事、実は一番共感できるのは自分たちゲストハウスではないかと感じています。

というのも、感染を抑えながら、外国人（アスリート）の行動・健康をしっかり管理し、まさか選手村でのクラスター発生などもってのほかだからです。（開催するかどうかもまだハッキリしていませんが）

コロナ以降、当宿でも一番の懸念は我々が管理できないゲスト間での感染リスクです。そのため一日一組限定にするなど工夫を凝らしておもてなしを続けています。もちろんスタッフへの感染リスクも心配です。

結果として、心配がたくさんすぎて積極的に売り込めないというのが正直なところです。

オリンピックは無観客で開催するとしても、世界中からアスリートたちが集うイベントです。そんな場でクラスターや、新たな変異株の発生など起きないことを心から願っています。
