Good and Bad

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

There are always good and bad sides to everything…

The good thing here recently is:

that the days are getting longer and our guests have more opportunities to enjoy the sunset after check-in.

And the bad thing is that the time to enjoy the harbor lights after sunset has been shortened.

This is because the time the lights are turned off remains the same all year round.  (Straits Dream Tower: * Lights are turned off at 9:30pm)

To guests who are looking to enjoy the view:

Now the sky is light until around 8pm, so we have about an hour and a half to enjoy the night view from dusk onwards.

良いこと、悪いこと

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

物事には常に、良い面・悪い面があるわけで、、、

ここでの最近の良いことは、

日が長くなり、チェックイン後にゲストさんが日没を楽しむ可能性が増えたこと。

そして悪いことは、日没後の黄昏時から港の灯りを楽しむ時間が短くなったこと。

なぜなら、ライトアップの消灯時間は年中変わらないから。（海峡夢タワー：※ 終了時間は21：30まで）

景色を楽しみにいらっしゃるゲストさんへ：

今は８時頃まで空が明るいため、黄昏時から夜景を楽しめる時間は１時間半ほどです。

万博行ってみた！ / I went to the Expo, Tower of the Sun!

I went to the Expo, Tower of the Sun!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

This year’s Golden Week has finally entered the second half.

The host’s trip to and from Tokyo ahead of Golden Week, the sudden increase in the number of Gaijin wasn’t the only thing he saw.

On his way home, he stopped off at… 

the World Expo!

However it was not the Reiwa Expo, but the Showa Expo.

There is no way that a host who hates crowds the most would go to such a high-profile event that has just opened.

I’d always seen Expo Park from afar at the Suita junction, but this time I decided to visit it.

Although I only had about two hours to stop by,

but seeing the Tower of the Sun for the first time was overwhelming.

The tower standing tall against the blue sky made me feel as if I was deriving a mysterious energy from it.

Wanting to soak in the afterglow for a while, I took a break at the food stand nearby while looking at the tower.

Thanks to this, I was able to have valuable time to refresh both my body and soul.

I think more people will be going to Osaka to see the Reiwa Expo, but I also recommend the Showa Expo.

「万博行ってみた！」

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

今年のゴールデンウィークもいよいよ後半に入りましたね。

ゴールデンウィークに先駆けて、行ってきた東京への行き帰りで見てきたのは急激に増殖しているガイジンだけではありません。

帰路に立ち寄ったのは、、、

万博！

とはいっても、令和の万博ではなく、昭和の万博です。

人混みを最も嫌う宿主が、開会したばかりの注目のイベントに行くハズがありません。

いつもは吹田のジャンクションで遠目に見て気になっていた万博公園を今回実際に訪ねてみました。

全体の旅程から、立ち寄り時間は２時間ほどしかありませんでしたが、

初めて対面する太陽の塔は圧巻でした。

青空をバックにそびえる塔からは、不思議なエネルギーを得た気分になりました。

しばらくその余韻に浸りたくて、すぐ横のフードスタンドで塔を見ながらしばらく休憩。

おかげで心身ともにリフレッシュする貴重な時間を得ることができました。

これから令和の万博を見に、大阪にいかれる方も増えると思いますが、昭和の万博もオススメですよ。
