Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

It’s been a week since the winter solstice, the day with the shortest hours of daylight of the year, 

and I’ve been taking this rare opportunity to check out some things I wanted to confirm.

On the day of the winter solstice, I was reminded once again that sunlight can penetrate so deep into the room even around noon.

And the sunsets at this time of year…

Recently, the sun has been lining up with our lighthouse at sunset, and every evening the whole area is colored gold. Ships approach us through the shining golden sky and sea. We’ve enjoyed this sight every day.

These days, the joy of the days getting longer each day outweighs the melancholy of approaching winter.

この時期限定だから、、、

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

一年で一番日照時間の短い冬至の日から一週間、

せっかくのこの機会に確認しておきたかったことを色々と見てきました。

冬至の日には、陽の光がお昼でこんなに部屋の奥まで差し込んむことをあらためて確認しました。

そして、この時期の日没の様子も、、、

最近では日没時の太陽がウチの灯台と一列に並び、毎日夕方にはあたり一面がゴールドに色付いて、金色に光り輝く空と海の中を船がこちらに向かってくる、そんな光景が毎日楽しめました。

そして冬本番を迎える憂鬱よりも、日に日に日が長くなっていくよろこびが勝るこの頃です。

まさに、うれしい季節の始まりです。

Unfair that can’t be helped

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

In the previous article, I talked about the sunset on the winter solstice seen from here…

The picture was taken a little after 17:00.

I was in Tokyo until last week, so I know that the sun sets in Tokyo at around 16:30.

It’s pretty dark in Tokyo by 17:00.

The sunset time at Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, which is attached to this article, is approximately 16:45,

which means the difference in sunset time between here and Tokyo is about 30 minutes, and between here and Kansai is 15 minutes.

30 minutes may not seem like much, but it’s better to understand that it makes a difference every day.

To be honest, I feel like I’ve gained a lot since coming back here.

It seems that eastern Japan is good for people who go to bed early and get up early, while western Japan is good for people who go to bed late and get up late.

如何ともし難い不公平

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

ひとつ前の記事で、ここから見る冬至の日の日没のことを話題にしましたが、、、

添付した画像を撮影したのは１７時過ぎです。

先週まで東京にいたので分かるのですが、東京の日没がだいたい１６時半。

１７時ともなると東京では結構暗いです。

この記事に添付した明石大橋の日没時間がおおよそ１6時４５分だったので、

日没時間差は当地と東京とで約３０分、関西とで１５分ということになるでしょうか。

３０分と言われると、たいしたことないように感じるかもしれませんが、その差が毎日生じていることを理解する方が良いかもしれません。

正直言ってこっちに戻ってきてから、なんかすごく得している気がしています。

早寝早起きする人には東日本、遅寝遅起きする人には西日本が良さそうですね。

This time, we’re talking about the highest mountain in this city.

Yesterday was the winter solstice, which occurs once a year.

On the day of the winter solstice, I decided to watch the sky from here, paying attention to where the sun would set.

And where did the sun set?

I have checked it once before, but I thought it might change from year to year, so I have wanted to check it again, but the weather has not been good for the past few years, so I have not been able to check it again.

However, this time it has been confirmed that “the sun sets at the peak of Mt. Sarakura on the winter solstice.”

年に一度のチャンス！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

ここのところ日本一の山の話題ばかりでしたが、、、

この街一の山についての話題です。

昨日は一年で一度の冬至でした。

その冬至の日に、どこに太陽が沈むかに注目してここから空を眺めることにしました。

で、太陽はどこに沈んだのか？

この街一番の高い山、皿倉山の山頂に接した後、沈んでいきました。

過去に一度確認したことがありますが、年によって変わるのではと考え、もう一度確認したいと思ってきましたが、ここ数年天候に恵まれず、再確認できずにいました。

でも、今回をもって「冬至の太陽は皿倉山に沈む」ということが確定しました。

それでは、検証を重ねることで素敵な一日を！
