What to prepare for the next two weeks

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Starting today, as we move through the next two weeks, until August 15th, I’d like to share with you some things you should know,

which were introduced on a program we don’t watch very often (BS and G at 4am).

I was frustrated that I wasn’t getting any attention despite being very interested in this topic, 

and I was relieved to learn that there are not a few people who felt the same way, and that high school students were starting to become aware of it.

What I’m talking about is not just what was done to Japan, but what Japan did…

regarding the last war, we need to understand not only its perspective as a war victim, but also its perspective as a war perpetrator.

Without knowing, thinking about, and reflecting on this, true and lasting peace and regional and international cooperation are impossible.

This is the opinion of the host, whose job it is to interact with people from all over the world, including Asia.

If you are paying the NHK viewing fee, you can watch it in case you miss it, so it’s 33 minutes (4’05”-37’05”) that I highly recommend you watch.

これからの２週間を過ごすにあたって

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

本日を皮切りに、これからの２週間、８月１５日までを過ごすにあたって、

知っておくべきことが、あまり我々が見ない番組（BSとG朝４時台）で紹介されていたので共有します。

自分自身がとても興味がありながら、注目されないことにもどかしさを感じていたことに、

同様の思いでいる人が少なからずいること、また高校生が意識し始めたことを知り安堵しました。

何のことを言っているかというと、日本がされたことだけではなくて、日本がしたこと、、、

先の戦争について、戦争被害者としての見方に加え、戦争加害者としての見地も理解しておくということです。

ここを知ること、考えること、反省することなしに、真の意味での恒久平和・地域国際連携はあり得ないというのが、今アジアを含む世界中の人たちと触れ合うことを生業とする宿主の自論です。
