Let us introduce Class B Gourmet of our neighbor!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

It was sunny and warm spring Sunday, yesterday.
And I got a small gratification.

Before lunch, I watched TV unintentionally. Men’s cooking program was on air. The theme was Class B Gourmet of SAGA prefecture. In the program, one Class B snack was introduced and MC (famous Johnny’s office talent and son of famous cooking expert) spoke it very highly with commenting “this food must be sold in airport and station.” So I thought that I will try it next time I will visit Saga.

However in the same day, I found the snack in the nearest supermarket.

And it costs only 99JPY.

Yes, I bought it without doubt. And I took one bite as soon as arriving here.
It was very good!

There are 2 pieces in a package and I heated the second one in the oven and took another bite. It was much better. They have two taste, normal and curry, and both are good.

It was my small gratification that I could eat food unexpectedly, which I wanted to eat some day in future.

Today I reported about food of our neighbor, not Yamaguchi on the other side of us, but Saga in our west.

P.S. Yes, we recommend this to our guests, because it is good with beer and we can buy it here.

お隣のＢ級グルメ紹介！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

春真っ盛りの陽気を楽しんだ日曜。
ささやかな喜びを味わいました。

何気なく流していたテレビ、テレ東系のチャンネルでお昼前にやっていた男の料理番組。今回の特集は佐賀のＢ級料理。その中で紹介された佐賀のB級珍味。ジャニーズ系の司会者と有名料理研究家の息子が「空港や駅で売るべき」と絶賛していた一品。いつか佐賀に行ったら食べてみようと思っていたら、、、

なんとすぐ近くのスーパーで売ってるではないですか！

それも税込み99円！！

早速買って帰って一口、、、旨い。

袋には２個入っているので、二個目はオーブントースターで温めて、、、さらに旨い。普通の味とカレー味とがあって、どちらもなかなかの味でした。

いつか食べてみたいと思ったものが、すぐに食べれるささやかな喜び。

今回はお隣、すぐ向かいの山口ではなくて、西隣の佐賀の話題でした。

We have reported how easy living in this town.
One of the big reason is low price of foods.

Not only fresh foods but also delicatessens are cheap here.

These price will discounted to half soon. And it is like we are buying BENTO with cost of ONIGIRI (rice ball) in convenience store.

Several days ago, I was informed why they are super cheap and I am sharing it with honorable readers.

One day, I made friends with one guy from south neighborhood city. The topic was about the big discount store, TOUKA also use frequently.

According to him, the biggest reason why is “Globalization”.

There are the store’s big central (kitchen) factory in his city. People are working there now Malaysian now. The members are always shifted to cheaper labor nationality.

They are technical trainee, which is sometimes focused in TV.

As we are in the tourism industry, our biggest concern is about foreign tourists here. But we are interested in the topic about foreign technical trainees.

One day, you may notice that all “Made in Japan” items are made by foreigner in Japan. It can be also possible for us to have foreign family member some day.

住みやすさの裏に忍び寄る影！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

この町が住みやすいことは何度も取り上げてきましたが、、、
その要因の一つが「食品の安さ」です。

生鮮食料品はもちろんのこと、お惣菜もめちゃくちゃ安いです。

この価格がすぐに半額セールになるので、コンビニおにぎりの価格でお弁当一つが買えるそんなぐらい安いんです。

その安さの訳が、ふとしたことで分かり、驚いたのでログしておきます。

あることがキッカケで知り合った我が市に隣接する南の町の方、その人と雑談している中で「灯火」でもよくお世話になっているディスカウント・スーパーの話題になりました。

情報によると、その安さの理由は「国際化」。

その南の町にあるスーパー直営の巨大工場では、大勢のマレーシア人が働いていて、スーパー各店で販売されるお惣菜を集中生産しているそうです。今はマレーシア人ですが、以前は違う人種だったらしく、労働者の出身国は常に安く調達できる国へと次から次へシフトしているそうです。

ニュースでも話題になる「職業実習生」の名目で働いている外国人達です。

職業柄、自分は外国人観光客の動向が一番の関心ですが、外国人労働者のこともすごく気になります。

ある日、気がついたら、Made in Japan のはずが、衣も食も住も、すべて作っているのは外国人になっているかもしれませんね。
（そのうち、家族も最愛の人も外国人になってるかも、、、）

The Taste of Japan for 100 years!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

As I got free coupon from cellular company, I went to the shop yesterday.

It is Number One popular Japanese fast-food among tourists from overseas countries (in Tokyo).

However, I found that there is no franchise shop in our town (ward).
So I had to go to neighboring town.

The shop locates in the building with “Don quijote” discount store.
(There were many people making line in front of the shop, because of the coupon.)

Dear our guests: How about taste of Japan with 100 years history, after discount store shopping.

この町にはない『ザ・ニッポンの味』！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

携帯電話会社からフリー・クーポンが届いたので、お店を探して行ってきました。

外国人旅行者に人気の『ニッポンのファストフード』です。（東京では）

でも、我が町（区）にはそのお店がないことが分かり、ガッカリ！
隣町まで行く羽目になりました。

隣町のお店は、激安ディスカウントの「ドン・キホーテ」と同じビルに入っています。（クーポンのせいか、店頭には人の列が出来ていました。）

ゲストの皆さん、『爆買い』ついでに『百年続くニッポンの味』、いかがでしょう？
（耳に残っているCMソングは「牛丼一筋80ね〜ん♫」。あれから早や20年以上経ったんですね。）
