Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
We’re exploring the attractions of the town on the opposite side of the strait beyond sushi of the market, but…
Sushi is still incredibly popular, and we’ve even received photos of sushi from guests who stayed with us this weekend.
So, it’s fine for guests who can come on weekends, but the problem is guests who come on weekdays.
Some guests arrive without knowing the date of the sushi event, so we tried out a conveyor belt sushi restaurant inside the market to offer an alternative option for weekdays.
So, I walked up the stairs in the corner of the market to the second floor where the restaurant is located.
The first thing that catches my eye was the quiet market, which looks completely different from the weekend.
And when we turned the corner, there was a long line of people waiting to get in!
Normally, I hate waiting in line, but since there was a system in place for waiting, and thinking about our future guests of this guesthouse, I decided to wait.
As of just before Tuesday lunch, there were 25 groups waiting to enter the restaurant… that’s quite a lot of people.
I killed time by strolling around the market and when I returned, I was just about to enter the restaurant.
We sat down and ordered sushi with local ingredients/fishes…
…I wanted to think of a way to give advice on conveyor belt sushi restaurants in my town, which calls itself the “Sushi Capital” on this side of the strait, that are not listed as members of the Sushi Capital, with imagining the smiling faces of our guests.

やっぱりお寿司！なんだけど、、、
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
対岸の町の市場でのお寿司以外の魅力を探索していますが、、、
やっぱりお寿司人気は絶大で、この週末ご利用いただいたゲストさんからもお寿司画像が届きました。
で、金土日の週末に来られるゲストさんはいいんですが、ここで困るのが平日にいらっしゃるゲストさん。
なかにはお寿司イベント開催日を知らないで来るゲストさんも少なくないので、平日の代案をご提案する目的で今回試してみたのが、市場内の「回転寿司」。
というわけで、市場隅の階段をのぼり、お店のある二階へ。
まず目に飛び込んでくるのは、週末とはまったく違う様相の静かな市場。
そして角を曲がるとそこには入店待ちの大行列！
本来、行列嫌いの宿主ですが、順番待ちがシステム化されていたことと、当宿の将来のゲストさんのことを想い待つことにしました。
入店待ちは火曜のお昼前の時点で２５組、、、結構な人数です。
時間潰しに市場周辺を散策してから戻ると、ちょうど入店となりました。
席について、ご当地ならではのネタのお寿司を注文、、、
、、、海峡のこちら側、自称「すしの都」を誇るわが街の、すしの都の会員にはあがっていない「回転寿司」のお店を、ゲストさんのよろこぶ顔を想像しながらアドバイスできる方法を考えたいと思いました。
