Coming Events!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Winter is in full swing in Japan now. Let us introduce coming events of winter in this town.

In Japan, there are so many places, called as “lovers’ sanctuary”. Among those sanctuaries, this town is one of powerful sanctuary in next 10days.

Whole retro port town will be lighted up next several month, including Christmas time. It is very unfortunate that there are no fireworks in Christmas this year (Attached is the flyer of last year), but we want all lovers who will visit this town enjoy dating here till Christmas.

There are fancy lovers’ lighting chairs. They can enjoy taking selfie on one chair together or each pink/blue chair separately. We hope them get excited as they want.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

どんどん冬が深まっていくこの頃ですが、この町のこれから、冬の楽しみ方を紹介していきます。

日本全国にたくさんある「恋人の聖地」ですが、そうした中でもこの町はこれからの季節に本領を発揮する聖地です。

クリスマス期間中もずっと繰り広げられるレトロな港町のイルミネーション。
例年クリスマスに開催されていた花火が今年はないのが残念ですが（フライヤーは昨年のもの）、恋人たちには花火の有無は関係なく、熱く燃え上がってもらいたいですね。ラブラブチェアも設置されているので、くっついて自撮りするもよし、ピンク・水色と別々座るもよし(?)、思うがままに盛り上がって欲しいですね。

This is about on the way back from Taiwan, country of genuine Chinese food.

After eating in-flight meal in cool lunch box, I found that there is a video program for the tourists from Taiwan. (note: followings are full of local topics.)

It is the video to introduce sightseeing spots in Mojiko. It has very local Mojiko people friendly contents, not like ordinary Mojiko guidebooks in Japan. I was impressed that may spots are from the area, east side of old tram lines, including SAKAE-MACHI Shopping street, which has many shuttered shops.

( I wonder if the Japanese sweet shop in the video has many guests from Taiwan. And I visited there and surprised. Because it has sign “Due to master is in hospital, we will close for a while”. I hope the master is doing OK.)

The navigator of video program is Judy Ongg, 1970’s popular singer born in Taiwan. She might be chosen by airline who want to get more Taiwanese tourists.

本格中華の国、台湾からの帰路の話。

小洒落た箱で提供されるお弁当を食べ終えた頃、台湾からの韓国客向けのビデオ・チャンネルに気が付きます。（注：ここからちょっとローカルな話になります。）

門司港観光を紹介するビデオ・プログラムなんですが、元々からの門司港住民を喜ばせる内容になっています。日本の一般的なガイドブックの情報とは異なり「電車通り」から東手のスポットの比率が高く取り上げられていることに感動しました。シャッター商店街に限りなく近い「栄町銀天街」にも焦点当たってます。

The food we rarely eat!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

In this guesthouse, guests sometimes invited us to have dinner together.

This time, we went together to eat the food we rarely eat.

Yes, as you know, this is the speciality menu of this town.

To tell the truth, local people don’t eat this so often, in spite of the speciality menu here. There are three main reasons for that.

The first reason is as same as the reason why people in Tokyo don’t go up to the Tokyo Tower so often.

The second and third reason are the main reasons, but let us about them when you will be in this guesthouse.

Not like other restaurants, this restaurant is a one of popular ones who open late every night. Frankly speaking, I think it taste good. Yes, it was my first time visit/eat in the restaurant.

めったに食べないもの！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

宿屋をやってると、まれにゲストから一緒に行こうと食事に誘われることがあります。

で、今回一緒に食べに行ったのは、めったに食べないもの。

そう、この町のご当地メニューです。実は地元の人はあまり食べないんです、名物なのに。その理由には三つあります。

１つ目の理由は、東京の人があまり東京タワーに登らないのと同じ理由です。

２つ目・３つ目の理由が食べない本当の理由ですが、それは当宿にいらしたときにでもお話しましょう。

ちなみに、掲載しましたこちらのお店は、この町にあって珍しく夜遅くまで営業している人気店。味は素直に美味しいと思いました。そう、この日初めて食べたんです。
