We look at the Kanmon Strait every day.
After doing some research, it seems that there is almost no risk of earthquake or tsunami at our accommodation, which is 30m above sea level, but…
Here would be extremely dangerous in the event of a military emergency. It may be the biggest risk of this region.
The reason is clear when we look back at the last war.
How many mines were dropped in this narrow strait at that time…
Mine removal work is still ongoing, and a considerable number of minesweepers are deployed.
(One of those boats sank the other day, killing one crew member.)
Whether it’s Patriot or SARS, I would like to see high-performance air defense surface-to-air missiles deployed
at the Maritime Self-Defense Force’s Shimonoseki Base and the Air Self-Defense Force’s Ashiya Base…
We don’t need weapons for offense, but I think it’s absolutely necessary to have tools for defense.
I hope that this will be considered and implemented positively, especially since the leader of our potential enemy country is not sane.
We must prevent Honshu and Kyushu from being separated and key sea routes from becoming impassable!

歴史から学ぶ・備える
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
毎日眺めている関門海峡。
色々調べて、地震や津波のリスクは海抜30mの当宿ではほとんどなさそうですが、、、
有事の際に非常にヤバいです。この地域の最大のリスクかもしれません。
その理由は先の大戦を振り返れば明白！
当時、この細い海峡にどんだけの機雷が投下されたか、、、
そして、いまなお機雷除去作業は行われているし、掃海艇も結構配備されています。
（先日その中の一艇が沈没し、乗組員が一名死亡しましたね。）
パトリオットでもサーズでも、高性能の防空地対空ミサイル配備しておいてほしいです。
海上自衛隊下関基地と航空自衛隊芦屋基地に、、、
攻撃のための武器は要りませんが、防衛のためのツールは絶対に配備しておく必要があると思います。
仮想敵国のリーダーが正気じゃないからこそ、前向きに検討・実現して欲しいものです。
本州と九州が分断、海の要所が通行不可能にならないように！
