Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

According to the weather forecaster, the weather across Japan has been as warm as March for the past two days.

Here Kanmon area was no exception…

on Wednesday, the weather was fine and the temperature rose steadily.

on Thursday, the sky was cloudy all day, but the southerly winds caused the temperature to rise up even further, and it was so warm that I didn’t even need a jacket.

However, from this afternoon onwards the atmospheric pressure pattern will return to a winter mode!

They say the strongest cold wave of the season will arrive this weekend.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

気象予報士によると、ここのところ２日間の日本全国は３月の陽気だったそうです。

ここ関門エリアもその例に漏れず、、、

水曜日、天気よく気温もぐんぐん上がって、

木曜日、空は終日曇るも南風の影響で、気温はさらに上がり、上着が不要かと思うほどの暖かさでした。

けれども今日の午後あたりから気圧配置は再び冬型に！

この週末には今季最強寒波が到来するなんて言っています。

Confirming the result

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

As a host, it’s his policy to make the most of every opportunity…

He would never miss a golden opportunity like having local firefighters come and inspect this property.

I told him that I had previously seen a fire drill taking place on the steep slope in front of the guesthouse,

and he taught me what the results of that drill were.

Why did I ask that?

I couldn’t help but worry about whether proper firefighting would be possible in the event of an emergency because of this steep slope.

The firefighters told us that although they had to maneuver, they were able to confirm that a small fire engine could easily climb to the top of the hill and that this would not hinder firefighting efforts.

Of course, the most important thing is to avoid fires, but I was grateful to know that they would be able to respond appropriately in the unlikely event of an emergency.

After all, even though the distance from the fire station to here in a straight line is only 500m, I was very worried that this steep slope might have a negative impact in the event of an emergency, so I’m really glad that I was able to confirm this.

成果確認

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

どんな機会も有効に活用するのがポリシーの宿主は、、、

地域の消防士が当宿にいらっしゃって立入検査をするなんていうせっかくのチャンスを見逃すなんて絶対にしません。

以前、宿の前の急坂で消防訓練していたのを見たことをお伝えし、

その時の訓練の結果がどうだったのか教えていただきました。

なぜか？

万が一の時に、この急坂のせいでまともな消防活動が出来るのか気になって仕方なかったから。

で、教えてもらったのは、切り返しは必要だったけれど、小型のポンプ車なら坂のてっぺんまで問題なく登れて消化活動に支障がないことが確認できたということ。

もちろん火事を起こさないことが一番重要だけれども、万が一の時にはちゃんと対応してもらえそうなことが確認出来て、ありがたかったです。

なんてったって、消防署からここまで直線距離では500mなのにもかかわらず、この急坂がもしもの時に悪影響しないかがとても心配だったので、本当に本件確認ができてよかったです。

This is the biggest news in this area in the past week?

One afternoon, we noticed something unusually noisy in this supposedly quiet neighborhood, and then we realized there are several helicopters flying overhead.

At the same time, messages come in from my relatives.

Apparently, a major incident has occurred in the mountain side of this town, with a warehouse fire spreading into a forest fire.

Fire engines pass by one after another on the national highway below this guesthouse,

and among the helicopters flying overhead, one red one flies toward the mountain with something hanging from its sleeve.

Is this the one I’ve been seeing so often on TV lately?

It reminded me of the recent forest fires in Yamanashi, the large forest fire in Ofunato, and even the wildfires in California and the fire in Lahaina, Hawaii, and it scared me.

Fortunately, the fire in this town was soon extinguished, but…

Northern Japan has recently been experiencing heavy snowfall, and areas south of the Kanto region are experiencing a drought.

We are always careful about fires in this firewordsdf, but I felt strongly that we needed to be even more careful.

自岸の火事！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

ここ一週間のこの界隈最大のニュースはコレ？！

ある日の午後、静かなはずのこの近隣がやけに騒がしいと思ったら、ヘリコプターが数機上空を飛び回っているではないですか？

と、同時に親類よりメッセージが飛んできます。

どうもこの町の山手で倉庫火災より山林火災へと延焼しているという一大事が起きているとのこと。

宿の下の国道では次々に消防車が通り過ぎていくし、

いくつか上空を飛んでいるヘリコプターのうち、赤いのは何かをぶら下げて山へ向かって飛んでいきます。

これって、ここのところテレビでよく見るやつ？！

最近の山梨の山火事や、大船渡での大規模な山林火災、ひいてはカリフォルニアの山火事や、ハワイ・ラハイナの火事のことまで思い出されて怖くなりました。

幸いこの町の火事はまもなく鎮圧されたようですが、、、

ここのところの日本は北日本で大雪、関東以南では渇水状態です。

普段から当宿では火元には注意していますが、さらなる注意喚起を自らに課したいと強く感じました。
