This day suits us best!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

The final day of the three-day weekend was the Japanese holiday “Marine Day,” a relatively new holiday that began about only 30 years ago.

On such Marine Day, did you do anything related to the ocean?

This guesthouse offers room with a view overlooking the ocean (strait), so our guests could enjoy Marine Day.

Although we do not serve meals, it seemed that guests enjoyed local seafood very much both at lunch and dinner.

This is the perfect place for Marine Day, so why not come and enjoy Marine Day here next year?

三連休の最終日は日本の祝日「海の日」、30年ほど前に始まった比較的新しい祝日でした。

当宿では客室から海（海峡）を見下ろす景色が楽しめるので、ゲストさんには「海の日」をがっつり満喫していただきました。

One summer day

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

The sky, which was filled with summer clouds on Saturday,

changed to a blue summer sky on Sunday, causing our guests to break out in a sweat as they climbed the hill to this guesthouse.

During the day, it was so hot that few people were fishing at the pier.

However, as the sun began to set, a cool breeze started to blow in from the strait,

showing our guests a beautiful evening sky of sparkling clouds.

土曜日に夏の雲だった空は、

日曜日には夏の青空に変わり、宿まで坂を登ってくるゲストさんに大汗を促しています。

昼間、あまりの暑さに堤防で釣りをする人は少ないようです。

それでも陽が傾いてくると、海峡の方から少し涼しい風が吹き始めて、

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Although we’re only about a third of the way through July, summer is already in full swing in the Kanmon Strait!

Outside this guesthouse, there was a chorus of cicadas, a sound that I did never heard in Tokyo.

And behind the town on the other side are summer rain clouds.

Next weekend in Japan will be a three-day weekend leading up to “the Marine Day” national holiday.

To enjoy summer to the fullest, go to the scorching sea & beach, as the name suggests, or to the cool mountains & highlands!

But before you go out, don’t forget about it!

Yes, the election!!

The host had already done it before climbing to a secret summer retreat at an altitude of 1,152m.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

７月もまだ序盤の1/3が終わるぐらいの今日この頃で、関門海峡はもう夏本番！

宿の外は東京では聞こえなかった蝉の大合唱です。

そして対岸に見える町の背後には夏の雨雲。

さぁ、来週末の日本は「海の日」の祝日につながる三連休です。

夏を満喫しに、その名の通りジリジリ焼ける海・ビーチでも、涼しい山でも、行っちゃいましょう！

でも、出かける前に、忘れちゃいけないのが、、、

そう選挙！！

宿主は標高1,152mの避暑に登る前に済ましてきました。
