On Saturday night, I heard a popping sound outside and looked out towards the city…
Fireworks were going off from the stadium.
In fact, on the same day, fireworks were also set off at Mojiko for about five minutes starting just after 8pm, but all I could see was smoke of them.
Perhaps these fireworks have unexpectedly become a farewell bonfire for the surrounding area?
During the summer, we can see/hear fireworks being set off somewhere around the weekends from this town.
Speaking of fireworks, just a few days ago, at the large-scale fireworks display across the Strait…
While everyone was distracted by the sky, the host noticed intriguing gallery.
On the other side of the strait, anchored in the shadow of a warehouse, was the passenger ship Nippon Maru.
And on this side, a little distance from the launch site, is Asuka III!
The host actually preferred this to the familiar fireworks, but I didn’t feel like going to the port town on the day of the fireworks festival, so I decided to wait for the next opportunity that it will pass through the strait.
Speaking of passing through the strait…
a few hours before the fireworks were launched, an ominous ship like this passed through the strait. Did anyone notice it?
Perhaps this ship was transporting unflowered launches.
With conflicts still raging somewhere on the Earth recently, we hope that the only fireworks that open beautifully are launched into the sky.

今夜もどこかで！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
土曜の夜、外からの破裂音に気付いて街の方を眺めると、、、
スタジアムより花火があがっていました。
実は同日、門司港でも８時過ぎから５分ほど花火があがっていたようで、そちらは煙だけ確認しました。
これらの花火、期せずして、この周辺ののお盆 送り火となったのではないでしょうか？
そんな具合に、夏の間、週末前後にはどこかで花火が上がっているのが見える／聞こえるこの町です。
花火といえば、ほんの数日前の海峡の大規模な花火大会、、、
みなが空に気を取られている間、宿主は気になるギャラリーがいることに気が付きました。
対岸の倉庫の影に停泊し、停泊していたのは客船にっぽん丸。
そしてこちら側には打ち上げ会場から少し離れたところに飛鳥IIIが！
宿主的には見慣れた花火よりもそちらの方が見たかったぐらいですが、花火大会当日の港町には行く気にもならず、次回の海峡通過の機会を待つことにしました。
海峡通過といえば、、、
花火打ち上げの数時間前にはこんな不穏な船がこの海峡を通過していきましたが、気付いた人はいるでしょうか？
もしかしたら、こちらの船は花の開かない打ち上げ物を輸送していたのかもしれません。
今日も地球のどこかで紛争状態の今日この頃、打ち上げられるのはきれいに開く花火だけにしてほしいですね。
