Finally, I visited The Diner!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

On a sunny weekday afternoon, I took a private(?) ferry to visit…

A restaurant I’ve been wanting to visit since last fall!

I failed once just after the New Year Holidays, but after trying again this time, I could finally get a seat there!

Yes, this is the restaurant that was featured on that show!

I also tried the exact same menu that was featured on TV.

However, there was so much that happened at the diner that day that it’s impossible to fit it all into one article.

Anyway, I’m grateful that there is a local diner (the other side is also in Kanmon area.) that was featured on that show!

とうとうあの店、、、行ってきました！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

晴れた平日の午後に、貸切(?)渡船に乗って向かった先は、、、

昨秋からずっと行きたかったお店。

正月明けに一度失敗して、出直しの末、ようやくその席に着くことが出来ました！

テレビで紹介されたまさにそのメニューも実食してきました。

ただその日、そのお店では色々ありすぎて記事一本では書ききれませんっ。

とにかく地元に（対岸も一緒に地元「関門エリア」なので）、あの番組で取り上げられるお店があることを感謝して！

This seems to be the case in Tokyo as well, but here in the Kanmon area, we are seeing alternating periods of extremely cold days and sunny days.

Since it’s still February, I was worried it might be cold, but

it was surprisingly refreshing.

We say goodbye to this side for a while and move to the other side.

(As we mentioned at the beginning of the year, our focus this year is on the other side…)

まだ２月なので寒いかな、と心配しましたが、

意外や爽快です。

（年初に話題にしましたが、今年の当宿の注目は対岸なので、、、）

At the brand new hotel on the other side,

there are tables and chairs by the window in the children’s reading area, which gives it a slightly different atmosphere.

It seems to be a place to make memorable crafts.

The accommodation fee is quite high, so I thought this was a free service for children, but it turns out that this is a paid craft experience.

Well, considering the wide range of entertainment and services for children,

if people on the other side of the river (Kitakyushu side) were to make good use of this facility…

I feel that the ideal use would be for grandparents to splurge on rooms here when their children’s families return home after moving to big cities, and create fond memories with their grandchildren by swimming in the pool or trying crafts experience.

It’s sure for you to become a hero to your delighted grandchildren.

The host generation is at the age where it’s becoming difficult to prepare bedding every time for their children’s family before their visiting the hometown.

Let us prepare smartly to welcome your family back home!

By the way, our guesthouse, TOUKA, has been also offering craft experiences for children.

海を見ながら 〜 有料で思い出

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

対岸の真新しいホテル、、、

子供用の読書スペースの窓際には、ちょっと雰囲気の違うテーブルと椅子とが置かれています。

どうも思い出のクラフトを作るための場所のようです。

宿泊料金もそこそこするので、無料の子供向けサービスかと思いきや、こちらは有料のクラフト体験とのことです。

まぁ、こんな具合に子供向け娯楽やサービスも充実していることなども考慮して、

対岸（北九州側）の人間がこの施設をうまく使うとしたら、、、

都会に出て行った子供家族が帰省するときに、ちょっとジジババ風を吹かせて奮発してここで部屋を取り、孫と一緒にプールやクラフト体験でいい思い出作りをするのが、理想的な利用法かと感じました。

よろこぶ孫たちのヒーローになること間違いなしです。

宿主世代も、そろそろ帰省のたびに布団準備等キツくなっているお年頃ですしね。

スマートに帰省家族の受け入れ準備をしましょう！

ちなみに、当宿「灯火」でも、子供向けのクラフト体験は以前から実施しています。
