Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
There is another port town in the west of Kyushu, so let me tell you a little about it.
This port town is not similar to ours, and still looks like a military port town.
The local gourmet food that is unique to this naval port is known nationwide, unlike the specialty dishes of our port town.
Apparently, after stores in other areas bearing that name began offering counterfeit goods all over the country in the past, rival stores in the local area teamed up to establish the brand.
And this is the brand’s mascot character!
The design was created by a legendary MANGA artist who has become very popular again after being featured in a morning drama earlier this year.
(That’s a bit enviable episode.)
So here are the restaurants I visited this time!
It stands in the location, offering a spectacular view of the 99 islands. If you sit at an outdoor table, you can feel like you are part of the magnificent view.
Well, why this restaurant?
That’s because I saw the success of “SASEBO Burger King” on TV.

My dream of visiting this restaurant has finally come true.
So, this is what I took a big bite with my mouth wide open!
Its taste was just as rumored and as powerful as what I saw on TV.
There was a spectacular view from inside the restaurant, and it was a very satisfying experience.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
九州の西にはもうひとつ港町があって、そちらの話も少しだけ。
こちらの港町は我が湊町とは似ていなくて、今なお軍港の様相です。
その軍港だからこそのご当地グルメが、我が港町の名物メニューとは異なり全国区です。
過去その名を語るお店が全国各地で偽物を提供するようになってからは、ご当地でライバル店同士が連携してブランドを確立したとのこと。
で、そのブランドのマスコット・キャラクターがこれっ！
今年前半の朝ドラで取り上げられたことで人気が再燃している、伝説の漫画家によるデザインとのこと。
（ちょっと羨ましい話ですね）
というわけで今回行ってみたお店がこちら！
九十九もあるらしい島々を望む絶景のロケーション。屋外のテーブル席ではそんな絶景の一部になれるようです。
え、なぜこのお店かって？
それは、、、「SASEBO バーガー・キング」の活躍をテレビで見たからです。

是非ともこのお店に行ってみたいという夢がようやく叶いました。
で、今回大口開けてかぶりついてみたのがこちら！
うわさ通り、テレビで見た通りのパワフルな一品でした。
店内からも絶景が望めて、大満足の体験が出来ました。
ちなみにこちらではこのご当地グルメの歴史も学ぶことができます。
