Looking at where we are now from the opposite/higher vantage point – what we got
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
The resort development group that is currently attracting the biggest attention in Japan.
This month I stayed at the group’s newest facility, their very first newly built facility of the group. From there, I was able to look out over our guesthouse on the other side of the strait and got a lot of realizations.
I’m grateful for the benefits, which are more than covered the cost of the accommodation!
The realizations are…
Rather than realizing that we wanted to imitate what they do to our guesthouse, we realized that, although the scale may be different, we are already on the same track. (The details are a secret! You might find out if you stay at both.)
My honest impression is that there were many times when I felt that our guesthouse is superior in terms of “hospitality to the guests.”
If we can see here from there, then we can also see there from here.
I would also like to list some of the “disadvantages of designer hotels in the Strait” that I have noticed from the perspective of same accommodation business owner.
(Without feeling presumptuous because of the huge difference in scale, we should think from the perspective of “OMOTENASHI (hospitality)” that is common to the accommodation industry…)

反対側・高い視座より今いる場所を見つめて 〜 得たもの
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
今、日本国内で最も注目を浴びているリゾート開発のグループ。
そんなグループの最新の施設、初めて手がけたという新規に独自建設されたという施設に今月滞在して、そこから海峡の反対側にある当宿を望み、色々と気付きをいただきました。
宿泊費用以上の収穫に感謝！
その気付きとは、、、
当宿でも真似したいと感じた気付きよりは、規模こそ違えど、すでに同一線上に立っているな、と気付いたことの方が多かったです。（詳細については、ヒ・ミ・ツっ！両方に泊まってみると分かる、かも？）
むしろ「ゲストを想う」気持ちでは当宿の方が優っている、と感じられることが少なくなかったというのが正直な感想です。
向こうからココが見えるということは、ココからも向こうが見えるということ。
同業者目線で気付いた「海峡のデザイナーズホテルの欠点」についても、追っかけ挙げてみたいと思います。
（規模が違いすぎて、おこがましいと思うことなく、宿泊業に共通する「おもてなし」の視点で、、、）
