日本は冬に突入してしまいましたが、今週は水曜日以外はそれほど天気は悪くなさそうです。

It’s not all bad

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Winter has progressed rapidly here and it’s getting much colder lately.

It’s become commonplace to greet everyone we meet with “It’s cold, isn’t it?”

Winter isn’t all bad.

The stars are so beautiful.

In this small town of Komorie, where is far from artificial illuminations, the twinkling stars are the best illumination at this moment.

You can see the beautiful Orion shining from the entrance of this guesthouse. 

This is the picture I got with my old smartphone camera.

With the naked eye, you can see many more stars in the clear night.

良いことだってある

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

ここのところ急速に冬が進み、ぐっと冷え込むようになりました。

会う人、会う人に「寒いですね」と挨拶するのが日常となりましたが、、、

冬は悪いことばかりではありません。

なんてったって星が綺麗です。

イルミネーションとは縁遠いこのちいさい町「小森江」にあって、星の瞬きが今一番のイルミネーションです。

当宿の玄関前でもオリオン座が綺麗に輝いているのを見ることができます。

古いスマホのカメラでこれだけ写りました。

肉眼ではもっと綺麗に多くの星を望むことができます。

Better than gorgeous lights

Now, no matter which major city you go to in Japan, the Christmas lights are shining so brightly that they make your eyes sparkling.

Unlike such recent trend, our port town has more subdued illuminations.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

今、日本のどの主要都市にいっても、クリスマスのイルミネーションがビカビカに輝いていて目がチカチカするほどです。

そんな最近の傾向とは違って、わが港町は落ち着いたイルミネーションです。
