There was even something like this come to the town!
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
The town was hit by a powerful tornado this summer.
As it’s a place I love, so I was very curious to visit, and when I decided to stop by again on my way back from Tokyo…
There were more people on the beach than I’d ever seen before!

Such a big tournament was being held there.
On the other side of the fence that had enclosed the debris from the tornado a few weeks earlier, there was no more rubble, and spectators were enthusiastically cheering on the athletes.
This town has been in the news ever since the incident in which a little girl was left behind on a nursery school bus and died…
However it is a lovely town with tea fields spread out on the hills and views of the sea.

There are also plenty of vertical and footbridge-type tsunami evacuation facilities.
I hope that there will be a major recovery from various aspects.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
この夏、強力な竜巻に襲われた町。
大好きな場所なので、とても気になっていて、東京からの帰り道にもう一度立ち寄ってみると、、、
ビーチに見たことがないぐらいの人だかり！
来賓？報道？
なんとこんな大きな大会が開催されていました。
数週間前に竜巻で出た災害ゴミを囲っていたフェンスの向こうには、もう瓦礫などはなく、ギャラリー達が選手を熱く応援していました。
保育園バスに置き去りにされ亡くなった女児の事件以来、何かと話題の町ですが、、、
高台では茶畑が広がり、海を見渡すことができる素敵な町です。
垂直型・歩道橋型、、、津波避難施設も充実しています。
いろんな角度から、大きく復興してもらいたいですね。
