Big project of this summer – understanding the situation

One hot summer evening…
It started suddenly while I was lighting charcoal for the grill on the terrace, as I usually do.
That day, the charcoal fire was not settling down,
but causing smoke to billow around the terrace.
Just after that, I could hear the loud buzzing of wings approaching.
Yes, a hornet!
One of them approached us through the smoke, but we beat it down…
An even louder buzzing can be heard coming from somewhere between the eaves and the terrace roof above.
It was getting dark that day, so the next day I put up a ladder and looked over the eaves from a little distance away, and what I saw is this image.
So how will the host get through this crisis?
What should he do?! Should he go to a pest-control contractor?

この夏のビッグプロジェクト 〜 状況の認識
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
この夏のある暑い日の夕方、、、
いつものようにテラスでグリルに炭を起こしていた時にそれは突然始まりました。
その日はなかなか炭火が落ち着きません。そのせいで煙がもくもくとテラス中に立ちこめた時です。
ブーンブーンとすごい音の羽音が近づいてくるのが分かりました。
そう、スズメバチ！
煙の中、こっちに近づいてきた一匹はなんとか撃退しましたが、、、
軒とその上のテラス・ルーフの間あたりから、さらに大きな羽音が聞こえてきます。
その日は暗くなってきたので、翌日ハシゴをかけて、ちょっと離れたところ軒の上をからのぞいてみたのがこの画像。
さぁ宿主はこのピンチをどう乗り越えるのか？
どうする？！業者にGoする？
