Recent trend in our town
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
I’ve introduced the food of Kurume and Hakata, both in Fukuoka, so
I’d like to briefly introduce the food trends here in Kitakyushu too.
In the last few years, a certain type of restaurant has been opening one after another in one area of Kokura, Kitakyushu.
I went to one of them.
The food is ethnic food, yes, it is Vietnamese food.
This trend is probably found all over Japan, but the Vietnamese food in Kitakyushu is really cool and good.
The atmosphere in the restaurant is also somewhat relaxing for the Showa generation, so we recommend it.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
同じ福岡でも久留米や博多の食べ物のことを紹介してきたので、
少しだけここ北九州の食のトレンドを紹介しておきます。
北九州は小倉のとある地域にここ数年ある種の料理店が続々と開店しています。
その一つに行ってきました。
その料理とはエスニックフード、そうベトナム料理です。
おそらく日本各地でこの傾向はあると思うのですが、北九州のエスニックかなりイケてます。
お店の雰囲気も、昭和世代にはなんとなく落ち着く佇まいでオススメです。
