Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
A guest who had been living abroad and had returned to Japan for the first time in a while
stayed for a few days and noticed “very quiet Japanese people”!
The only ones who are full of energy are inbound foreign tourists…
Now that I think about it, this coincides with the feeling of unease that the host, who frequently travels between Tokyo and Fukuoka at ground level, has been feeling ever since.
The recent interest among Japanese voters in issues surrounding foreigners also seems to be driven more by a vague sense of envy or jealousy than any awareness of the problem.
The weak yen has put a freeze on Japanese people’s enthusiasm for overseas travel for a long time.
So, today is the day of the House of Councillors elections… will we elect a leader who will revitalize this country?
Due to various circumstances, I ended up voting early, but I do regret that I should have taken more time to choose my candidate and party.

元気になってね！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
海外で生活していて、久しぶりに日本に帰国していらっしゃったゲストさん。
数日滞在して、気になったのは「静かな日本人」！
元気がいいのはインバウンドの外国人旅行者ばかり、、、
言われてみると、東京〜福岡間を頻繁にグラウンドレベルで行き来している宿主が「もやっ」と感じ続けていることと合致しています。
最近の外国人問題に対する日本人の関心も、問題視よりも、漠然と感じている羨望や妬みが原因のように思えます。
円安で日本人の海外旅行熱も凍結されて久しいですしね。
さぁ、参議院選 投開票日の今日、、、この国を元気にしてくれるリーダーは選ばれるでしょうか？
諸般の事情でかなり早くに期日前投票してしまいましたが、もっとじっくり候補者、政党選びをすれば良かったと少し後悔しています。
