Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
It was a hot midsummer day again in the Kanmon area on Friday.
Even though the rainy season hasn’t ended yet, it already feels like summer here.
Speaking of summer, this festival comes to mind in Fukuoka!
As of this week, there was still only a stage in front of the station, and the Decorated Yamagasa had not even been set up, so it looked soulless…
This year, the Oiyama will be held on a weekday for the first time in a long time, without being affected by COVID-19 infections, weekends, or public holidays.
Many of our guests travel between Kitakyushu and Fukuoka, so we would like to introduce Yamakasa Festival viewing that are relatively uncrowded on weekday.

にっぽんの夏、福岡のなつ
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
金曜日の関門エリアもまた真夏日。
梅雨明けもまだなのに、もうまるで夏本番です。
夏といえば、福岡ではこの祭り！
今週時点では駅前もまだ舞台だけで、飾り山笠のやぐらも組まれていなかったので魂のない状態でしたが、、、
今年は新型コロナ感染も、週末も、祝日も絡まない久しぶりの追い山の平日開催です。
当宿のゲストさんにも北九州と福岡とを行き来している方が多いので、比較的混雑の少ない山笠見物を紹介していきたいと思います。
