Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
This Kanmon area was enveloped in warmth on Thursday as well, and the topic of wage increases seemed to be attracting attention in Japanese society.
Why do person who run cheap lodgings in Japanese countryside still care about spring labor offensives, even though I am no longer part of that generation?
It is because of our guests.
The majority of our guests are in their late 20s to early 40s,
and many of them are freelancers or non-regular workers, no matter from this country or abroad.
If the person is a full-time employee or part-time employee directly employed by a company, there is less need to worry about a wage increase.
For temporary workers who have an intermediary in their employment relationship, and freelancers who are treated as subcontractors as self-employed individuals, it is unclear how wage increases such as those brought about by spring labor offensives will lead to improvements in their living standards.
It doesn’t seem like this is something that is taken into consideration in Japanese corporate culture, although it may be the case overseas.
I want all our guests to have a fun-filled trip.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
木曜日もここ関門エリアでは陽気につつまれ、世間では賃上げの話題が注目されているようでした。
片田舎の安宿屋が、世代的には関係がなくなった今でも、どうして春闘のことを気にしているかというと、、、
それはゲストさんたち。
当宿のゲストさんの世代は２０代後半から４０代前半が大多数で、
その職業は国内外を問わず、フリーランスや非正規が多いからです。
企業に直接雇用されている正社員や、いってパートであれば賃上げへの距離感はありませんが、
雇用関係に仲介業者がいる派遣社員や、個人事業主として下請け扱いのフリーランスでは春闘など賃上げがどう生活改善につながるかは未知数です。
海外ならともかく、日本の企業風土でそこまで意識されているようには思えません。
ゲストさんみんなに笑って旅してほしいですね。
