Every weekend!
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
It’s been a hot, hot midsummer here, and as I said before, it’s really become an event every weekend in this town.
When I went out to town to avoid the hot midday heat to prepare for our hospitality…
I noticed that there were a lot of children wearing YUKATA (Japanese summer KIMONO).
When we finished my errands and headed to our guesthouse,…
I noticed that there were a lot of people on the sidewalk on the north side of the street.
When we look at the direction everyone is looking…
we saw big fireworks in the sky.
I knew that there was a big festival on the weekend, and I thought the fireworks would be on Saturday, so I planned to watch them from our guesthouse, but it was actually on Friday, the eve of the festival, that I first realized when I saw the real fireworks.
I parked my car and was able to enjoy the summer atmosphere even though it was only for a few minutes.
After all, this is The Summer in Japan, isn’t this?!

毎週末・毎週末！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
暑い暑い盛夏となり、前にも話した通り、この町では本当に毎週末のイベントになってきました。
暑い昼間を避けて、おもてなしの準備のための用事で町に出かけると、、、
やけに浴衣を着た子供たちが多い。
用事を済ませて宿に向かうと、、、
通りの北側の歩道には大勢の人が！
みんなが見ている方向を見てみると、、、
週末にお祭りがあることは知っていて、上がるのは土曜日と思い宿から眺める予定でしたが、実際は金曜日のお祭り前夜祭が花火とそのものを見て初めて気付きました。
車を停めて、数分だけでしたが夏の風情を満喫することが出来ました。
やっぱりにっぽんの夏はこれですね！
