Weekend scenes unique to this season
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
Here in the Kanmon Strait, the sound of ship whistles enlivens the travel spirit.
The best times to hear the ship’s whistle are on weekends and public holidays. (The reason is explained for the guests in our guesthouse.)
Around this time of year, we begin to hear a slightly higher-pitched engine sound mixed in with the ship’s whistlings.
Are they motor gangs in Reiwa era? We can’t help but feel a little sorry as we can see them getting cocky even though no one is watching them.
It’s so pitiful, why don’t you just watch what they doing?
This is the best place to watch them as you can’t really see who are driving those machines.

この季節ならでは、週末の光景」
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
船の汽笛が旅情を盛り立てるここ関門海峡。
ちょうどうまい具合に汽笛がよく聞こえるのが、週末や祝祭日です。（なぜか、その理由は当宿で解説しています。）
この時期になると、そうした汽笛に混じってちょっと高めのエンジン音が聞こえ始めます。
令和の暴走族でしょうか？だれも見ていないのにイキって飛ばしているのが彼方に見えて、すこし虚しい気がしないでもありません。
あまりに可哀想なので、そんな様子を見物してあげてはいかがでしょう？
どんな人が飛ばしているのかがいい感じに見えないココぐらいが見物に最適です。
