Here “Kanmon” area is, as its name suggests, a “transportation hub.”
This is a very convenient location for going to the beach or to the mountains.
The day before, we had a great time talking about traveling around Japan by car with our guest, so…
I couldn’t help myself, so after his checking out, I jumped in my car and headed northeast.
After driving for only three hours, the area was covered in snow, or rather, it was almost a white out situation.
The amount of snow this year seems to be unusual in the Northern Area including Tohoku region and Hokuriku region.
In fact, the Sanin region around here, the amount of snow is also incomparable to usual years.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
ここ「関門」エリアは、その名の通り「交通の要所」。
海に行くのも、山に行くのも、とても便利なロケーションです。
前日にゲストさんと車で日本中を巡る話で盛り上がったおかげで、、、
自分自身もいてもたってもいられなくなってしまい、チェックアウト後には自分の車に飛び乗って北東を目指していました。
そして、３時間も走るとあたりは雪景色、、、というかほぼホワイトアウトの状況でした。
北陸地方以北の東北などでは、今年は雪の量が尋常ではないようですが、、、
実はこの周辺の山陰地方などでも例年見ることのない雪の量です。
