A little special thing of this town
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
Early summer of this year, new tunnel was constructed and I started to use it sometime lately.
The tunnel connects two major national road and seems to be convenient at first glance. But I have personally felt that morning traffic jam on the seaside road got worse. The tunnel should be judged good or bad a little later.
The most amazing thing is the financial strength of this city.
Not only constructing new road in the busy area of this city, they also publicize it by using new motion video to promote shorter than 400m tunnel. We don’t think that there is not any other local city, except some big cities, can make such actions.

The only thing we hope is that people using the tunnel feel convenient every time.

この街のちょっとスゴいところ
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
今年の初夏、街なかに出来た新たなトンネルを最近たまに使うようになりました。
二つの国道を繋ぐトンネルで一見便利なようですが、海側の国道については朝の渋滞がひどくなった気がしないでもなく、このトンネルの真の良し悪しは、もう少し時間をおいてから評価されるだろうと思いますが、、、
なによりスゴいのは、この街の力！
ただでさえせわしい街のなかに道を通すだけでなく、400mに満たないトンネルを動画まで準備して広報する余裕は大都市以外の他の自治体でもなかなか見ることは少ないように思います。
