Pedestrian came out of the long under-sea tunnel into the wonderland!
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
Kanmon Strait pedestrian tunnel is an unique tunnel which connect two cities.
We can walk through long tunnel, and we can see several cannons facing to the strait.
There is bus stop just behind the cannons. Blue bus from the bus stop brought us to Karato Market, the most popular spot, in a few minutes.
As I arrived there in the evening and market was not the goal of the day, I walked around old town I don’t go usually.
Like Mojiko, town locates second and third row from shore is the place where time stopped at several decades ago. Not like Mojiko, its appearance is different and wonder world for me.
– INARI shrine with red TORIIs made by plastic tubes,
– Beauty salon, Ultra-men announce to close 10 years ago,
– Cafe like Izakaya,
– A Block where several Karaoke CAFE doing business,
– “Yatai Mura” (villages of food stalls) like that of TOHOKU after the earthquake.
There are several shop and spot where I want to visit next time.
Photo board is also displayed and that reminds me old days which I saw in my childhood.
Don’t you try tunnel style Time Machine and visit the wonderland?

県境の長い海底トンネルを歩いて抜けると、不思議の国であった！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
関門海峡をつなぐユニークなトンネル、人道トンネル。
宇宙空間のようなチューブを歩いて抜けると、海に向かって砲口を向ける数台の大砲が並ぶ対岸に出てきます。
その大砲の直ぐ側にあるバス停から、青色のバスに乗って国道を西に向かうと、数分で下関最大の観光スポット「唐戸市場」に到着します。
着いた時点で夕方だったこと、市場が今回の目的地ではないので、普段行かないアーケードの方を散策してみます。
そこでは門司港同様、海岸から二列目、三列目にある旧市街は数十年前のまま時間が止まっています。門司港ともまた違う佇まいは、なんとも不思議な世界でした。
塩ビのバイプで出来た赤い鳥居が並ぶお稲荷さん。
10年前にウルトラマンが閉店をアナウンスした美容院。
まるでトアルコトラジャを出す喫茶店風のIZAKAYA。
カラオケ喫茶が何軒も立ち並ぶ一角。
東北の復興仮説市場を彷彿させる屋台村。
フラッとタイムスリップしてみたくなるようなお店や場所がいくつかあり、次回は時間をとって、もっと探検・散策してみようと考えています。
子供の頃に訪れた町並みを思い出せる想い出写真のボードもあります。
（そういえば、昔の唐戸市場って今とは全く別物だったよな、と思い出しました。）
