After arriving at last stop by trolley train,
you are at the narrowest point of Kanmon Strait.
We can see the other side of strait, Shimonoseki very close.
Let’s walk to the other side!
Not on walking on the sea, we can walk under the sea.
Elevator brings us to 44m below sea level in one breath.
There is pedestrian tunnel here in Kanmon.
And it is free for pedestrians.
(It costs 20JPY for cyclist but you have to push it, not ride.)

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
トロッコ列車で終点まで行ったら、
海峡の一番細まったところで、しばらく対岸の下関を眺めてから、、、
さあ、この海を歩いて渡ってみましょう。
といっても、海の上ではなく、海の下をです！
エレベーターで一気に海面下４４ｍへ。
関門海峡には歩いて渡れる人道トンネルがあって、歩行車の利用はなんと無料なんです。
（自転車も20円払えば、押してですが通行可能です。）
それでは、どうぞアンダー・ザ・シー、マーメイドもしくは浦島太郎のような不思議な一日を！
